True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1779

After hanging up the phone, Leah got into a cab and said nothing after telling the cab driver her address.

She was staring at the lights out of the window. Her heart was beating wildly without her knowing why.

However, her heart was also aching at the same time. Tears welled up in her eyes.

Her tears flowed down in silence. The cab driver couldn't help but steal a few glances at Leah through the rearview mirror.

He felt sorry for a pretty lady like her to be crying like this.

He was smart enough to not disrupt her crying.

After more than ten minutes, Leah's eyes were already red and swollen from the crying. The driver then asked, "Young lady, what's the matter? Why were you crying?"

Leah shook her head. "I'm fine."

She was a little embarrassed.

The cab driver continued, "Were you crying over a guy? Let me give you some advice. It's not that terrifying to fall out of love. You have to grow stronger from this. Otherwise, with your eyes swelling like that, I'm afraid you won't be able to attract the next guy."

Leah burst into laughter.

He was a funny guy.

She shook her head and denied, "I'm not crying over a guy."

"Then what made you cry like that?" The cab driver obviously didn't believe her words. Nothing else could make a girl cry like this.

"I'm really not crying over a guy." Leah still denied.

"That's what all the heartbroken girls would say. Forget it then. Anyway, I can tell that girls at your age would normally fall for the bad guys," the driver said.

Leah couldn't hold back her laughter upon hearing this. "Why do you know everything?"

"You see, I was right about you falling out of love," the driver said.

"No. I'm not. I just felt like crying." Leah said.

"Why would you be standing so long at the intersection then? I saw you on the phone for a long while too," the driver said.

Leah's heart missed a beat. She asked, "D-did you notice me? Then why don't you tell me if I'm in

love or am I out of love?"

The driver sounded surprised, "Do you not know that yourself?"

The driver shook his head. She must be overwhelmed by her emotions that she couldn't think straight anymore.

He then observed Leah for a moment before saying, "Kid, you have to keep a clear mind whether or not you're falling out of love. Bad guys are everywhere. Don't fall for their charm and sweet words."

Leah nodded. "You're right."

Sure enough, wisdom increased with age.

The cab driver was a perfect example of this.

Leah wiped away her tears and then laughed.

She didn't think that she was falling out of love.

The man who broke her heart was looking for her again.

However, she ended his call with pride and dignity. Although she was longing for him, she felt refreshed after doing so. At least she was no longer begging for his attention this time.

Leah laughed as she got reminded of all the words he blurted out during the phone call.

It was more than enough.

She had already vented out her anger. She was planning to unblock his number the next day.

There was no need for her to hold her head up too high.

She just needed to vent her anger.

Leah couldn't hold back her excitement at the thought of Ernest looking for her.
