True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1801

Seeing Ernest back with the phone, Leah instantly realized something. That phone was actually of the same model as Ernest's, but just that the color was actually rose gold.

She always liked black, as she didn't consider herself the girly type of woman.

In the past, the rose gold color did not seem to appeal to her at all, but she didn't find it to be as repulsive as before then.

She could not help but wondered if falling in love had contributed to the changes in her mood.

She had never blushed before, but she would then. Her face would turn red and she would feel hot when there was barely anything that happened, as if it was ablaze.

It seemed that her mindset had really altered.

"Look, do you like it?" Ernest placed the phone box in front of her.

She sat up in a snap to open the box. What came into her sight was a luxurious phone.

It was of a famous brand.

Being the same model as his, it caught her fancy.

"I like it." Leah beamed at him. "Thank you."

Ernest shook his head, got up to take her broken phone, took out the SIM card from it and installed it onto the new phone.

"With regard to the documents in your original phone, I'll link them to the computer later to see if we can transfer them over. If we can do that, then it'll save us the trouble of repairing it. If we can't, then we might as well install a new screen."

"There's no need for the transfer." Leah immediately shook her head. "I think it's better to repair it and get a new screen. Then, I would be able to turn it on. There are many documents there that I need to use."

"I can transfer them over for you." Ernest replied, "Why? Don't you believe in my skills?"

"No, it's not that I don't believe in you." Shaking her head, Leah seemed abashed.

She avoided his gaze too.

Ernest was very sharp- witted. He sensed her reluctance in two ticks, wondering why she behaved in that way.

"Is there a secret in your phone that can't be seen by me?"

Feeling a bit guilty, Leah nodded right away. However in the next second, she shook her head. "Actually, it's not like that. Forget it, I'll tell the truth. There are indeed some secrets that can't be revealed to you."

Upon hearing that, Ernest frowned in disbelief. He stared at her, and his tone turned subdued.

"Do you mean that even I can't look at your phone?"

Leah shook her head again. "No, I will be mortified. They're not big secrets, just my personal feelings that I don't want to tell you."

"Personal feelings?" Ernest couldn't help but scowled. He was disheartened by her attitude, which made him feel a little smothered. He disliked the feeling of her hiding any secrets from him.

It was especially the case at the moment.

He also noticed that he had a nearly overbearing possessiveness toward Leah.

The kind of possessiveness had been intensifying ever since they reconciled.

He understood then why his father treated his mom in a proprietorial way, which no outsider could bear.

The same went for how his uncle-in-law treated his aunt, how Gary treated Celeste, and how Liam treated Maria too.

It was due to the fact that they liked them.

It was infatuation, and love.

That was the reason they wanted to own everything about their partners.

That was why he did not want her to hide anything from him, not even secrets.

He yearned to enter her world and to clap eyes on everything in every corner in there, not leaving a single blind spot behind.

Seeing Leah lowered her head like a obedient wife, he furrowed his brows once again and asked, "What on earth are those feelings?"

Pursing her lips, Leah was in two minds whether or not to tell him.

Those feelings were about how she felt after they broke up the last time. The longing she felt for him was recorded in one of the files inside her phone.

She didn't want to let him know it.

It was because she had had the toughest times in her life during that period, that she even not wanted to continue living.

She appeared a forlorn figure, missing him alone throughout that period. It was really humbling for her.

If he knew it, she would feel more awkward.

Apparently, she still loved him so much that she almost went mad, yet she couldn't help but to propose a break-up to him. Such behavior was very contradictory on its own.
