True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1808

Leah nodded her head gravely, feeling that Ernest's words really made sense.

"Indeed, I should accumulate more experiences. Otherwise, it's really hard for me to write male characters well, especially those with the disposition like that of the male protagonist's in this novel. I really need to know more about different men."

"Know more about different men?" Ernest couldn't help but to frown when he heard that.

How dare she! Wasn't it enough for her to get to know him?

Yet she wanted to know about other men.

She really excelled at exasperating him.

Seeing him frown, Leah instantly realized that what she said had upset him. She then said with a smile, "I mean, to learn about different men from different perspectives. After all, I am a web novel writer, hence I have to build different kinds of male characters."

"So, how are you going to learn about other men?"

Ernest's tone had become much colder.

"Of course I'm not going to treat them like how I treat you. I'm the closest to you. I won't be in the mood to flirt with other men, so don't worry. You're the only one in my heart." Leah was aware of his jealousy, and she did not continue to tease him.

It wasn't until Ernest had heard that, that he nodded in slight satisfaction. "That's more like it."

Leah grinned while looking at his handsome face. After that, she couldn't help teasing him. "If I'm not mistaken just now, you look like your jealousy has gotten the better of you."

Shaking his head, Ernest replied seriously, "That's not jealousy."

"What is it then if it's not jealousy?"

In Leah's view, it was plain anger. His unspoken words should've been, "Didn't you see how indignant I am?"

Leah pouted and argued, "It's clear that you get angry because you're jealous, but you're embarrassed to admit it."

"If you want to put it this way..." Ernest's voice was much gentler than before as he stared at Leah intently and said, "Then, I'll reluctantly admit it. My anger did stem from my indignation. I guess you could take it as jealousy too."

Leah was stunned for a moment before laughing. "Ernest."

"Hmm?" The man raised his beautiful eyebrow.

"You really amuse me when you act as like an arrogant man who don't care despite being consumed by jealousy!"

Leah felt that she seemed to have known more about men.

No.

Technically speaking, she seemed to have known more about Ernest. In her eyes, he was quite cute whenever he acted like he didn't care.

Ernest simply quirked his eyebrow, lowered his gaze and lifted his hand to rub his forehead before the corners of his thin lips curled again.

Afterward, he seemed to look up unwittingly, and the way he looked at Leah grew increasingly inscrutable.

Leah was a little frightened by his gaze.

After a long time, he said impassively, "Leah, actually, there are certain things that you don't have to say out loud. They may seemingly improve our understandings of each other, but it will mar the romance. In fact, romance is necessary between lovers."

Leah blinked again and couldn't help riposting, "You were acting as if you didn't care, and you refused to admit it. Am I wrong?" Ernest let out a sigh while his eyes were fixed unblinkingly on her.

Leah furrowed her brows under his gaze, feeling that there was a sense of danger in it.

She wondered why he kept staring at her.

However, Ernest's smile was very warm, and was even a little bit black-bellied. He whispered, "Leah, occasionally, men are exactly the same as women. For example, women may say no in bed, but their bodies' reactions wouldn't lie, and would always betray their true feelings. Do you think they want it or not?"
