True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1872

Alice drove them both to the school slowly. They did not bring servants with them. It looked like they were going on a leisure trip.

Alice sat in the car and couldn't help but ask, "Grace, I heard from Jensen that the famous criminal investigation expert is really good. He's renowned in his field. Are you sure it's a good idea to go looking for him like that?"

"Since such a famous expert is Sylvia's teacher in school, I'd like to ask him for some suggestions and see if he can convince me or not," Grace said.

Alice nodded. "But will he even see us?"

"Since he's a teacher, shouldn't he be obliged to communicate with her parents for a short while?" Grace thought it would be alright.

It was normal for a teacher to discuss the issues of the child with their parents.

"Aren't young geniuses like him generally arrogant? Grace, we have to prepare ourselves for rejection. What if he doesn't want to see us?" Alice was more cautious. "After all, if we do manage to meet him, we'll have to spend some time talking to him. We have to ask him more comprehensive questions to get to the bottom of it."

Grace suddenly realized that Alice had somehow developed her skill to tackle problems comprehensively throughout the years.

She nodded. "You're right. Don't worry, I don't think it's going to get complicated."

Soon enough, they arrived at the school.

Grace first contacted the head teacher. After explaining the purpose of her visit, the head teacher immediately contacted Kendrix, but Kendrix refused to meet up with Grace.

"Isn't it the head teacher's job to discuss the child's behavior? I don't have the time for that, sorry."

The head teacher was stunned and hurriedly lowered his voice, "Mr. Trevino, don't refuse the request so quickly. Mrs. Jones is not someone you can turn away just like that. Mr. Jones donates a lot of equipment and books to our school every year. He is rather popular within the school. I really think you should meet up with Mrs. Jones for the principal's sake."

"Why should I do you this favor?" Kendrix asked.

His tone was calm, but harsh.

The head teacher paused at that. He did not know what to say.

"I..."

"You're the head teacher, aren't you? So if anything, you should be the one to deal with Mrs. Jones. If you can't do your job properly, it's best for you to resign. Don't put the blame on me," Kendrix said in a low voice.

Then, Kendrix hung up the phone.

The head teacher looked at Grace and Alice with embarrassment and said, "Sorry, Mrs. Jones, Mr. Trevino is about to teach a class right now. He's not available to see you."

"He's going to teach?" She smiled and said, "Alright then, I'll just see him after his class ends."

The head teacher quickly shook his head. "Mrs. Jones, Mr. Trevino has a lot of classes today. You'll have to wait the entire day. You should come another day."

The head teacher thought that after he sent Mrs. Jones away, he would take some time off to do some of Mr. Trevino's work. However, he did not expect that Mrs. Jones would insist on waiting.

"It's no problem. I'll just wait for him for as long as it takes. Since I'm already here, I don't mind waiting." Grace was not in any hurry. She shot a patient smile at the head teacher.

When the head teacher heard this, his face reddened from further embarrassment.

To be honest, Grace and Alice could already tell from the phone call that Kendrix must've refused the head teacher's request. It would not be easy for them to meet with him.

After all, someone like him was extremely difficult to get a hold of. Alice was right. Young geniuses typically had eccentric behaviors.

Alice thought that the young genius seemed to have a bad temper and was very stubborn. He probably didn't give any face to the head teacher on the phone.

However, if Grace insisted on staying, it would make everything harder for the head teacher.

The head teacher had no choice but to tell the truth, "Mrs. Jones, Mr. Trevino is not an easy person to communicate with. He's a little different from the rest of us."

Hearing that, Grace smiled. She nodded and said, "I know it's inevitable for a young genius to be a little odd. Well, why don't you tell me which class he's teaching? We'll head over there ourselves."

The head teacher nodded quickly and let out a small smile.

"Alright. But how about I give you his personal office's address instead? You can go find him yourself. He'll have no choice but to see you if you show up in front of him." The head teacher wrote down Kendrix's address for Grace with a smile, and then admitted, "To be honest, Mr. Trevino doesn't have any classes today. He should be preparing his teaching materials in his independent office at the moment."

Grace let out a laugh at that. She had long guessed that that was the case.

It seemed that Kendrix was held in high regard in the school. The principal even gave him an independent office, giving him a lot of space in school to work.

Grace and Alice went to the office according to the address given by the class teacher.
