True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1892

"Why exactly are you doing this?" Sebastian stopped in his tracks as he stared at her. "Tell me all your motives and everything, and I might consider this."

Sylvia immediately looked embarrassed as if she was guilty. "Sebastian, it's my privacy."

Upon hearing that, Sebastian was about to walk away again.

Sylvia then got anxious. "Sebastian, wait, don't leave."

"Sylvia, let's make this clear. You're the one asking for my help." Sebastian looked faintly at her.

Sylvia was indeed begging him for help.

Sebastian could tell that Sylvia was being genuine and humble that time.

He wondered what made her stop being her usual arrogant self.

His intuition told him that it was definitely not something trivial.

There must be something Sylvia was hiding from him. She wouldn't suddenly start being studious.

Who was was influencing her?

Was it Kendrix?

"Sebastian, I'm begging for your help now. Regardless, I still can't tell you everything, but I do want to rank first this time. I know I wouldn't be able to make it within such a short time no matter how hard I try as the finals are already approaching. Please, just go easy on me and let me rank first this time. This would be a start for me too." Sylvia begged again.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes at her. "Sylvia, there must be a reason why you want to rank first so badly, am I right?"

Sylvia looked awkward. "Do you have to know everything?"

Sebastian nodded. "I must know everything. I have to know if it's worth me giving up my first place."

"If I tell you about it, can you keep this a secret then?" Sylvia felt that she was left with no choice but to tell him since he was being stubborn. He wouldn't try to understand her otherwise.

That seemed like the only way to get through him.

"Sure," Sebastian said.

Sylvia thought seriously for a moment before gathering her courage to say, "Mr. Trevino said that he will fulfil me one wish if I get to rank first this time."

"Kendrix?" Sebastian raised his eyebrows.

"Yes," Sylvia replied.

Sebastian looked at her attentively.

Sylvia was also staring at him.

They were staring at each other by the pond.

"Are you doing this just because of that?" Sebastian asked again.

"Yes. You know, I want to be able to get into the police academy and be a police officer in the future. This is the perfect opportunity for me, so for sure I want to cherish it," Sylvia explained, "Sebastian, now that I've told you, you have to go easy on me this time. Please just be kind to me."

"However, I don't think you can even rank second with the standard that you have right now," Sebastian said faintly, "I'm not the only top student in this school. Even if I agree to help you, you still have other top students fighting for the first place."

Sylvia looked upset. "What should I do then? Does that mean I wouldn't be able to get my wish fulfilled by Mr. Trevino then?"

Sebastian shrugged. "That's your problem."

Sylvia was about to cry.

"Sebastian, can't you do me a favor?" She asked.

"It's too late. I can help you with the next semester," Sebastian said, "I know you. I'm sure if you work hard for the next semester, you can at least rank top ten."

"That's all I get for working hard the whole semester? Top ten?" Sylvia questioned as she exclaimed.

"Don't forget that everyone else has been working hard for many years," Sebastian looked at Sylvia indifferently and reminded her, "Just look at me. I've been studying hard since kindergarten."

Sylvia was speechless as she looked at him.

"The lights are about to go out. I'm heading home. You should figure this out yourself," Sebastian left as he said that.

"I will work harder. I refuse to believe I can't achieve this," Sylvia shouted behind him.

Sebastian waved his hand and left without even looking back.

Upon reaching home, Sebastian saw Heinz and Gary standing in the yard.

Sebastian felt strange. Why would those two be waiting outside in the cold weather?

He asked the driver to pull over as he got out of the car.

"Dad, Gary, why are you two standing outside?"

Sebastian greeted them.

"We are waiting for you." Gary smiled.

Heinz nodded. "Sebastian, I need a few minutes of your time. I have something to ask you."

Sebastian was taken aback. "Sure."
