"It's all right. It will get better as time goes," Gary said.
"If only I am as thick-skinned as you." Celeste cast a resentful glance at him, admiring him for being able to face anyone and anything at any time so calmly.
"Am I thick- skinned?" Upon hearing that, Gary stared intently at Celeste.
"Sorry." Celeste realized it wasn't nice of her to say that and immediately explained, "I mean your mental health quality is good."
"That's the same meaning." Gary immediately smiled. "Actually, it's fine. I really am thick-skinned. Congratulations on your recognition."
Celeste looked at him and she was rendered speechless. He was really thick-skinned.
"Hey, what did you say to Mr. Trevino? It's been almost an hour. You've been spending so much time with Mr. Trevino. Aren't you afraid that Mr. Trevino will think that you're a bother?" Celeste thought that since Kendrix always had on an indifferent look, and the atmosphere could be awkward.
However, as long as Gary wanted, he could make sure that there was no awkwardness at where he was present. Moreover, he could control the situation quickly.
"So what if he thinks I'm a bother?" Gary snorted. "Do you think that I'm really such a bother?"
Celeste was stunned by the question. "It's good that you are aware of it."
"What does it have to do with me if they are annoyed by me or if they like me?" Gary didn't care what others thought. "As long as you like me, that's enough."
Celeste looked at him and was amused. "Do you really not care about what others think at all?"
"Except for the relatives we care about, the others have nothing to do with me," Gary said, "Don't mind what others think. Just do your own thing."
Celeste was stunned. In fact, she felt that it was how it should be as well after thinking about it,.
One couldn't force everyone to follow the same rules as them, or to force everyone to have the same preference.
"You're right." Celeste agreed with him. "I'm still in a dilemma. If only I could be as open-minded as Aunt Smith."
"Mom is different from you," Gary said. "Actually, both of you have suffered quite a bit. When mom first had me and had to take care of me and my Little Aunt on her own, she toughened up and became immune to all problems."
Speaking of "mother", Celeste felt nervous. Thinking of the lost child, she couldn't help but to feel a little sad and regretful.
Perhaps every arrangement in the world had its own reason.
If she really gave birth to a child, she might not be able to raise it well.
She was not strong enough yet.
She was not qualified to be a mother.
However, when she thought about it, her heart still ached badly.
Gary looked at her dim eyes and instantly understood something. He immediately moved over and pressed his handsome face against hers. He said softly, "There'll will be another child."
Celeste looked up suddenly and saw his dark eyes, her mouth slightly parted.
She looked absent- minded and surprised, as if she was saying, "How did you know I was thinking of this?"
Gary said nothing. He merely winked at her and replied in silence.
How could he not understand her?
Celeste was a simple and sensitive little girl.
It had something to do with her environment growing up.
If Gary didn't understand Celeste, how would he have the right to be her boyfriend?
The two looked into each other's eyes as they faced each other.
As he looked at her, the desire in his eyes sparked and he once again approached Celeste.
He stared at her lips, which were slightly parted. It was so inviting without her needing to say anything.
He stared at Celeste's lips and kissed her.
Their lips pressed on each other's.
Gary sighed, wanting to deepen the kiss.
In the car, the atmosphere suddenly became sensual and enchanting.
"Knock knock knock."
Suddenly, someone knocked on the window of the car, interrupting the moment and ruining the mood completely.
Celeste immediately pushed Gary away. Frightened, she lowered her head and covered her lips.
On the other hand, Gary swept a sharp glance at the person who had ruined the moment.
Upon seeing that, he was also stunned for a moment and then laughed.
"It's our Vice Principal, Mr. White," Gary said to Celeste. "Oh no, he's the Principal now."
Celeste was extremely shocked as she raised her gaze. Sure enough, she saw Mr. White outside.
