True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1929

Leah glared at him.

Norval gave Leah a deep look before he turned to leave.

Leah looked at his departing figure, stunned. Norval was right about one thing.

Women needed to maintain their own independence instead of relying on men.

However, what was his intention this time around?

Was he really trying to fix her relationship with her mother?

Leah felt that fixing things was impossible.

Leah sighed and forced a smile. Some problems could not be fixed.

Even if they patched things up, the damage was still there.

After Norval got onto the car, she watched as the window slid down. Her mother was watching her from the car with a complicated look. Sieara seemed to want to say something but stopped herself.

Leah turned around, opened the door, and entered the building.

She did not look back.

However, she could feel that someone was staring at her from the car behind her.

Her back was ramrod straight as Leah walked up the stairs.

However, she felt her legs were as heavy as lead as she walked up the stairs.

When she returned to the apartment, it was quiet. She felt very lonely.

Ten minutes later, she went to the balcony and saw that the car was still downstairs.

She was astonished, to say the least.

She wanted to look away, but it was too late. Norval had gotten out of the car and he was waving to her.

At that moment, Leah felt very annoyed.

She didn't expect Norval to guess that she would look downstairs.

She turned away, picked up a book, and prepared to study.

Meanwhile, a message pinged on her phone.

She looked at the notification to see the message. It read, "I knew that you couldn't bear to leave

Auntie alone. Regretting your words?"

Leah knew that the message was from Norval right away.

Leah put down the phone before another message pinged.

Norval's message read, "This time, we're really leaving. Take care, Leelee."

Leah immediately tossed her phone on the sofa. It was disgusting that Norval called her that.

She didn't like being addressed so intimately by someone she viewed with hostility. It was repulsive!

Leah put the phone away and decided to focus on her studies.

Meanwhile, Ernest returned home and greeted Grace. They chatted for a while before he went upstairs to write.

The hours flew by as he typed quickly. He had a clear storyline in his head and his room was distraction- free. He managed to write 20,000 words in four hours.

When he glanced at his watch, it was almost time for him to go downstairs.

Then, the phone rang.

Ernest picked it up. "Clinton?"

Clinton said, "Master Ernest, Norval had gone to meet Miss Winston. I have a few photos here. Would you like to see them?"

Ernest was startled and he felt uncomfortable. "All right, send them over."

After he hung up, Ernest received a lot of photos on WhatsApp.

It was of Leah speaking to both her mother and Norval.
