True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1950

Celeste was slightly dumbfounded as she did not expect Gary to be so romantic.

Something as romantic as watching the stars did not sound like something Gary would bring up.

What was happening?

Had he changed his character?

Celeste looked at Gary suspiciously, but he winked at her, the look in his eyes was very seductive.

Celeste unconsciously blushed and she was too embarrassed to look at him.

Leah was shocked too. She thought that stargazing was a romantic thing to do as well. She could not help but turn to look at Ernest. She wanted to know Ernest's thoughts on stargazing.

When Ernest received Leah's gaze, he looked out of the window absent-mindedly.

As if he was checking to see whether he could see any stars outside the window.

"It will be better to stargaze on top of the mountain. We won't be able to see the stars clearly here. After all, the air here is a little polluted." Gary continued, "The air on the mountaintop is fresher. There won't be a lot of clouds there, so we can see the distant night sky too."

He was telling the truth.

Ernest nodded and said, "Indeed, if you want to stargaze, it will be better to do it on top of the mountain."

"What do you think? Would you agree to that?" Gary asked them once more.

"Leah, what do you think?" Ernest looked at Leah and gently asked her for her opinion.

"I think that's a great idea." Leah was excited. She could see how excited Celeste was. Indeed, it seemed like Celeste had been waiting for this opportunity.

Therefore, Leah thought that going to the top of the mountain to stargaze was a good idea.

Ernest immediately nodded. "Great, then let's head out after dinner."

"We'll walk there," Gary said.

"Is it far?"

"It's a little far."

Celeste and Leah looked at each other in dismay. It looked like the two of them had no confidence in their strength.

Gary was also slightly taken aback. He smiled and said, "It isn't too far, Celeste. If you can't walk, I can carry you. As for Leah, if you can't walk, Ernest will carry you."

Leah looked at him again.

Ernest could not help but look at Gary. He had a feeling that Gary was not going up the mountains to stargaze, it was more like he wanted to go up there to do some physical 'exercise'.

Ernest could not help but look at Celeste. He realized that she had indeed gotten thinner.

He then looked at Leah. It was the same for her! Her waist was getting slimmer and slimmer.

Leah had lost some weight since they broke up back then. After that, Leah's weight seemed to have remained the same, there wasn't an increase in her weight.

Even though Ernest was trying hard to replenish Leah's nutrients, her weight still remained the same.

It looked like she really needed to train her stamina.

Leah realized that Ernest was looking at her without speaking. She thought that he did not want to carry her, so she took the initiative to speak, "I don't need him to carry me. I am sure I can walk down by myself."

"Don't worry, if you are tired, I will carry you." Ernest realized that Leah might have misunderstood him, so he immediately replied, "Exercising is a good thing, we'll go with you guys."

Gary smiled at Ernest meaningfully, then he looked at Leah.

Leah was quite baffled by his gaze.

"Gary, what are you looking at?" Leah could not help but ask.

"Nothing." Gary smiled then immediately urged them, "Hurry up and eat, you guys should eat more. Otherwise, you won't be able to climb the mountain."

That night, they ate more than usual. By the time they were done with dinner, it was seven o'clock.

The butler was shocked when he heard that they were going to traverse the mountain. "Master Ernest, Master Gary, it is not safe to climb the mountain at night. You won't be able to see the road clearly at night."

"It is because of the dark that we want to go up. We won't be able to see the stars during the day," Gary said.

"In that case, I will immediately prepare some supplies for you." The butler was well trained. He prepared flashlights, daggers, and climbing equipment. He also packed a backpack for each of them, containing snacks, drinks, and a satellite phone inside. This was a contingency in the case of weak mobile signal connections.

At 7.30 p.m., the four of them got dressed and prepared to leave.

They did not take the long winding mountain path. Instead, they chose the path with stairs leading to the mountain top. Along the way, their surroundings were particularly quiet and beautiful.

However, it was really difficult to climb up the lush winter forest at night.

Gary and Celeste walked in front. Gary held Celeste's hand tightly as if he was taking care of a little child.
