True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1960

Startled, he stared at Leah and didn't say anything.

Leah then realized what she said was basically sowing discord between the brothers.

She said awkwardly, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have gossiped about your brother and Celeste."

Ernest reached out to rub her hair and said, "It's okay. Just keep in mind that we're in no place to judge how others maintain their relationships. What you said does make sense, but it'd be bad if your words somehow affected their relationship."

Leah nodded. He was much more rational than her. Leah felt somewhat embarrassed.

Ernest said again, "Words can make or break a relationship too."

Leah had no choice but to acquiesce, "You're right.

I was being too reckless."

"Just keep this in mind," Ernest reminded her again.

"I know." Leah nodded sincerely. Her expression was as earnest as could be.

Ernest smiled at her attitude.

His lips curled and he said, "Alright, let's go to sleep."

Leah shook her head. "I'm not sleepy. I'll sleep later. You go do your thing, I want to see if there are any new chapters added to my book."

Ernest was startled when he heard but remained silent.

Leah checked her phone then found it strange when Ernest didn't say anything.

She looked up at Ernest and asked, "Are you sleepy?"

"No," said Ernest, "I still have some work to attend to on my laptop."

Leah nodded as she glanced at her phone. She mumbled in confusion, "Why did he update so few chapters today? Don't tell me there's a delay again."

Ernest was speechless again. He then took his laptop and sat on the sofa across from her.

He typed a lot on his laptop.

Leah was still browsing through books from other publishers when she eventually checked again on her book, she gasped, "It's been updated a minute ago!"

Ernest closed his laptop and put it on the sofa. He then said to Leah, "Come to bed as soon as you're done."

Leah muttered, "Alright. I'll just take a look at what he wrote."

Five minutes later, she finished reading and put her phone aside as she got into bed.

After walking out of the bathroom, Ernest asked, "Aren't you going to brush your teeth?"

"Of course." Leah got up and asked, "Ernest, is it true that men can't write much about love?"

Ernest was confused. He asked, "What's wrong? Did you not read anything about love in the new chapter?"

"Nope." Leah headed to the bathroom and started brushing her teeth. She then walked out and said to Ernest, "Although he didn't write anything about love, it was still an exciting chapter about brotherhood. He's done a better job than me overall, except for the lack of romantic content in his chapters."

Her voice was muffled but Ernest still heard her clearly.

He smiled and said, "Doesn't that make you two a perfect couple?"

Leah was dumbfounded. "I only want to be a perfect couple with you."

She sounded angry as she went back into the bathroom.

Ernest was surprised at her reaction and then he laughed helplessly.

He was wondering how he should tell Leah the truth about the book.

Should he surprise her?

Or would she be frightened instead?

He really couldn't tell.

Leah's cheeks were still puffed upon returning to the bedroom. He was reluctant to see her acting like that.

Leah stood by the bed and said in a serious tone, "Ernest, I only want to be with you. Tell me, are you actually jealous or mad about this?"

"I..." Ernest wanted to explain.

"Don't interrupt me," Leah interrupted him and continued, "I was just expressing my admiration for someone who writes my chapters well. I'm also impressed by his talent. I might be curious to know what he looks like, but I know for a fact that I'm your girlfriend. I'd never think of being with someone else. Do you get me?"

"I do." Ernest nodded. He was happy to hear how much she cared for him that she actually made the effort to explain.

"No, you don't." Leah pouted, clearly still a little angry.
