True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 1967

They exchanged glances with some subtle gestures, but they were all still taken in by Maria and Leah.

They realized that men would have their own emotions at times too.

Leah's heart skipped a beat. She figured she might have to say something to comfort Ernest later on, just in case he was having the same thought as Gary.

Sigh!

She didn't think that they would all be so petty.

She was somehow grateful that Ernest didn't throw a tantrum like Gary earlier. Or else, she would be so embarrassed.

Maria looked at Liam with her big and dazzling eyes.

Liam was confused. "What are you staring at?"

Maria said, "Since Gary and Celeste went back to their rooms, should we go to our room too? Let's rest for a while."

Liam nodded. "But then didn't you say you want to go out? Are you not going out anymore?"

Maria said, "Going out during daytime is too risky for us, we might get photographed. It's better for us to go out later at night."

After thinking for a while, Liam nodded and said, "That makes sense too. Let's go upstairs then."

They all went back to their rooms.

Celeste walked into her room and saw Gary standing by the window. He was staring out the window. He was tall and his back was facing her. She couldn't see his expressions.

Just by looking at his back, Celeste couldn't tell if Gary was really angry or not.

She believed that Gary heard her opening the door.

However, he did not look back.

Celeste pursed her lips. She wasn't confident about it.

After all, she turned off her phone stubbornly the previous night, and she noticed several missed calls from him when she turned on her phone again that noon.

He was most likely angry at her.

Celeste could only guess, but she wasn't sure about it.

He was at least emotional about what happened.

After thinking for a while, Celeste still mustered up her courage, walked over and stood behind Gary. Looking at his tall build from behind, she finally spoke up.

"Gary," she called out.

Gary didn't turn around or say anything. His back was still facing her as his lips curled into a smile.

He could tell that Celeste still cared about him. He was doing it on purpose.

Gary had to admit that he pretended to be angry. He threw a tantrum while eating and went upstairs right away as he wanted to see if Celeste would care enough about him to check in on him. Unexpectedly, she was really there.

He already had the urge to just turn around and wrap Celeste in his arms when he heard her opening the door earlier.

However, he tried hard to restrain himself from succumbing to his strong urge.

He should at least listen to what Celeste was going to say.

Seeing that he was still quiet, Celeste suddenly became nervous.

She couldn't tell his emotions at all when she didn't get to see his expression or hear his voice. She felt like she was being left in the dark, and she was just clueless.

She asked, "Are you angry?"

Gary softly snorted, still sounding extremely arrogant.

However, at least, he made a sound instead of continuing giving her the silent treatment.

Celeste was delighted. She immediately approached Gary and said in a low voice, "I'm sorry."

Gary was stunned as he didn't expect her to apologize.

Celeste continued saying without waiting for him to respond, "I was wrong. I shouldn't have turned off my phone. It was actually impulsive and I was stubborn. I still regret it now. I feel so childish for doing that."
