True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2020

"I'm fine." Gary shook his head and comforted her. "Mom already knows. She will just think that we want to spend some time on our own. She will not think too much about it."

"Then, what if you are not feeling well? What if you suffer from alcohol poisoning?" Celeste was still greatly worried about his health. His health was her greatest worries.

Gary was startled, and a gentle smile appeared in his eyes. "So, it seems like you still care a lot about me."

"Of course I care about you." Celeste could not help blushing slightly.

When she heard what he said, she felt a little embarrassed.

No matter what, he was the man she loved deeply.

The two of them had gone through so much together, their relationship had long deepened.

"Thank you." Gary thanked her sincerely, he felt a warm feeling in his heart.

He only hoped that he could find out about the truth sooner.

When he thought of Janice's schemes, Gary could not help clenching his fists tightly as he held on to the spoon. His handsome face tensed up.

"Don't mention it." Celeste added more some food to his bowl. "If your stomach isn't in pain right now, just eat some food and see if your stomach could get used to it. If it doesn't hurt, then eat more. However, if it is not doing well, then we should head back immediately."

"It doesn't hurt as much after I ate the porridge just now." Gary shook his head slightly. His head still hurt a lot.

"Don't move," Celeste spoke at once, "Your head will only hurt more if you shake your head like this."

"I just want to see how much it hurts still." Gary smiled and put down his bowl.

At that moment, his phone suddenly rang.

Someone called Gary's phone.

Celeste looked at Gary. He only raised his eyebrows slightly, not showing much expressions.

Celeste picked up his phone and glanced at it. It was Lowell.

"The call is from Uncle Lowell. Do you want to answer it?" Celeste asked for his opinion.

"No," Gary said.

Celeste pursed her lips.

He could tell that she was a little worried.

Gary glanced at Celeste, he felt a little helpless. He let out a long sigh and said, "Why don't you hand me my phone then?"

Celeste immediately smiled and handed him his phone. "Just talk nicely. Uncle Lowell should be under huge pressure already."

There was no need for her to say that, Gary understood it clearly. He was well aware of Lowell's feelings for Janice. As Janice was on to something again then, Lowell of course would be under a lot of pressure.

Gary answered the call. He did not want to hide anything from Celeste, so he immediately turned on the loudspeaker. Lowell's worried and anxious voice could be heard from the other end.

"Gary, I finally got through to you. What happened? Your phone was turned off."

Gary spoke on the phone, "Of course I turned off my phone, I didn't want to be disturbed by outsiders. It's clear that I don't want to answer any phone call."

Lowell paused and said, "I know that you don't want to answer anyone's call now, but I need to talk to you." "It would be best if you don't look for me anymore,"

Gary spoke in a deep voice.

Upon hearing that, Lowell smiled bitterly and apologized, "I am sorry, Gary, I have troubled you."

"Forget it." Compared to Lowell's hesitating tone, Gary's voice was calm. "I know what's on your mind, but you don't have to blame yourself."

"Are you free to talk right now?" Lowell asked once more, as if he was afraid that Celeste might hear them. "Is Celeste around you? Can I tell you the news directly?"

"Of course I am free to talk, just speak." Gary ignored Lowell's question when he asked if Celeste was there.

Lowell thought that Celeste was not by his side, so he immediately let out a sigh of relief. "I thought I was going to die of anxiety. Does Celeste know about the matter? I think Janice may have used my phone to talk to Celeste. I did not know about it at that time, and I only found out about it afterwards."

Gary raised his eyebrows, he looked at Celeste.

Celeste looked back at Gary and pursed her lips.

"It seems like Yandrea has told you about that," Gary said.
