True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2022

"Forget it, I will go upstairs to check in on Lowell first." In the end, Grace couldn't wait any longer. After all, everyone was in a relationship. Lowell was the only one alone, and it seemed like he was lonely.

Understandably, Lowell was raised by his brothers and sister, and Grace felt that no matter how well she and Heinz treated him, it would not be as ideal for him as compared to growing up with his parents. After all, Heinz and herself were not Lowell's parents.

When comparing doing someone a favor and fulfilling obligations, he would be more restrained when he was receiving a favor from them. On the other hand, parents were obligated to take care of their children, and he could have been relieved from scruples, as there would have been nothing for Lowell to fear of.

Over the years, Grace understood that even if she tried her best to take good care of him, Lowell would still feel like he was living under someone else's roof.

She could empathize with his feelings.

When Heinz saw Grace standing up and walking to the stairs to look for Lowell with her hands on her swollen belly, he quickly stood up and told her, "Forget it, you stay. I will go and talk to him myself."

Grace turned back to look at him and she said, "Wouldn't it be great if you were this easy earlier? You know that I am worried, but you still wanted to act so calmly."

"Yes, yes. It is all my fault. Don't be angry, honey." Heinz walked over and hugged his wife. He whispered in her ear, "You are just too impatient. Some things should not be rushed. It might bring upon the opposite of the desired results."

"I don't have time to think so much about it. Just go and ask him about it first." Grace urged.

When it came to certain things, she might not be able to get any answer out of Lowell. However, hopefully Heinz would be able to get Lowell to tell him about it if he asked.

Heinz walked Grace to the sofa so that she could sit down first. After that, he went upstairs to look for Lowell on his own.

When he was at the door of Lowell's room, Heinz raised his hand to knock on the door, only to hear Lowell reply with a low voice, "Come in."

Heinz then pushed the door open. He saw Lowell already stood up up, and he seemed to be a little surprised when he saw him.

"Heinz." He smiled at Heinz. "Why aren't you at work? What can I do for you?"

Heinz smiled and entered. He closed the door quietly, then looked around at Lowell's room and said, "Kid, you look like you're always worried about something these days, even Grace can tell."

Lowell was stunned. He immediately shook his head to cover up his panic.

Luckily, he could calm himself in an instant.

Heinz narrowed his eyes, he could easily catch the look in Lowell's eyes. In that instant, a thought flashed through his mind.

He was not in a hurry to ask. If Lowell did not want to talk about it, it would be useless even if he asked.

"I'm fine." Lowell immediately shook his head and explained with a smile, "I am already home, what could I be worried about? If there is something, I would have left already, wouldn't I? I am at home safely now. What could go wrong?

Heinz, Grace is in her second trimester now. Her stomach is getting bigger and bigger. The secretion of hormones in her body would fluctuate too. Perhaps she is getting emotional at times. Is she maybe more sensitive now? Perhaps you should spend more time with her."

"I wanted to accompany her, but she is making my life hard because of your long face." Heinz stared at Lowell with his sharp eyes. "Why don't you tell me what's on your mind? I could help you to either analyze the problem, or even solve it. Do it for Grace, at least. Otherwise, do you really think that I want to care about your problems?"

Lowell stretched his lips, he said with a smile, "Heinz, you are really good at joking. What kind of problems could I have?"

"Don't lie to me," Heinz said confidently, "Lester is one of my men."

When Lowell heard that, his expressions changed instantly, and his eyes were fixated at one spot.

He looked at Heinz and sighed. That's right, Lester was Heinz's subordinate. He would report everything to him. Lowell wasn't sure if Lester had told Heinz about the incident where he hit Janice with a car.

Heinz was still calm and composed. He looked at Lowell, who seemed a little nervous. "Why are you so nervous? Would I gobble you up like an animal? Just tell me. Do you want to be honest with me? Or, do you want me to call Lester in front of you and ask him to tell me everything?" "Heinz, how could you do this?" Lowell spoke at once, "I didn't want to tell you about it because this is a complicated matter. Not only that, it is a disgraceful one too."

"So, it seems like even you know that it is a disgraceful thing." Heinz squinted at Lowell, he laughed in his heart. Lowell was too innocent. He was easy to deceive, and he would also get nervous easily.

It seemed like something had really happened, and while Lester knew about it, he did not report it to him.

Heinz took a deep breath. It seemed that everyone was hiding problems from him.

He smiled. His guess was indeed correct. Young people all had their own secrets. Lester was the same as Alex, as he was helping them to hide secrets from him.

He did not want to completely expose Lowell, so he only smiled faintly at Lowell.

Lowell's heart was thumping. The situation was already sticky enough, but it felt like Heinz already knew about everything then.

He pursed his lips and said, "Gary, since you already know about it, then don't ask me anymore. If you are going to make me tell you about everything all over again, it will just embarrass me."
