True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2059

"You haven't eaten? It's already so late." Grace said as she looked at Gary.

He nodded and did not say anything else.

After taking a good look at Celeste, Grace knew that there was something wrong between the two.

She knew what the underlying problem was since she saw through Celeste's thoughts. She knew what Celeste was feeling for Gary now.

She knew because he did not join them for dinner.

She asked Celeste about Gary's whereabouts.

Even though Celeste's reply sounded decent, Grace could tell she was twisting her words. Celeste did not know where Gary was at all.

Or even if she did, she didn't know how to answer.

After all, Celeste was an honest person who rarely lied, so when she did, it would show up on her face.

Looking at how Celeste was struggling to answer, Grace did not ask any further.

Gary went upstairs without saying anything.

When Grace saw that Celeste had almost finished eating and had no intention of going upstairs, she asked, "Celeste, do you want to go upstairs and help Gary look for his clothes?"

Celeste was stunned. She immediately smiled and said, "Alright. I'll go up and help him."

She nodded slightly to Heinz and Lowell before going upstairs.

Heinz glanced at his wife calmly, and she glanced back at him.

They looked at each other, wordlessly exchanging their thoughts.

Heinz was telling Grace not to do anything as Celeste and Gary were already in so much pain. It would only make things awkward if she asked Celeste to go upstairs.

Grace understood the meaning of her husband's glance. She also looked at her husband, telling him with her eyes that she wanted the two to spend more time together to ease the awkwardness. Since they had not told them about their breakup, it meant that Celeste and Gary did not want to break their hearts. Creating chances for them to spend time together might change their minds.

Seeing that his wife had no intention of giving in, Heinz sighed, hoping she was right.

However, he only knew some parts of Celeste and Gary's circumstances, so he thought it was better to take things slow.

Instead of forcing them to be together, it was better to let them separate and calm down.

Forcefully creating opportunities might have the opposite effect sometimes.

In the end, Heinz decided to trust Grace. Only a woman could understand another woman better. Perhaps Grace knew that Celeste would change her mind.

Grace was pregnant, he didn't want her to worry too much, so he let her do whatever she wanted.

Plus, Celeste listened to whatever Grace said, so he was not worried about this.

The dining area quieted down.

Lowell looked at both Heinz and Grace, saying, "Weren't we celebrating today?"

"Yes." Heinz nodded and said calmly, "Can't you see that I am waiting for Gary? Gary Jones, if you still don't know."

Grace looked at Heinz with a disgusted look. "What's so special about inheriting your surname? What's there to show off?"

"There is nothing to brag about, but I think you should change yours too. Although Mr. Yarbrough hasn't said anything, he must be wishing for it,"

Heinz said.

She was dumbfounded as she looked up at him.

He continued, "Why not do it now before Mr. Yarbrough grows older?"
