True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2088

She had left.

When Gary saw the video of Celeste sneaking out early in the morning, he was stunned too.

His face turned pale at once, clearly understanding that Celeste wanted to escape.

She was not angry, nor was she playing hard to get. This time around, she really wanted to leave him.

This conclusion made Gary extremely depressed.

He thought that if he continued to look for Celeste, he would only be giving her too much pressure.

He had already brought an endless amount of pressure onto Celeste, and he had always been making her life hard.

If this was the only thing that he could give Celeste now. It would be better to stay away from her, to let her live her life happily and in a carefree way. That is what true love should be.

Gary felt that in the past, his love was too overbearing, too simple, and too rough.

He once felt that if a person loved another person, they should try their best to possess them. However, he now felt that if one really loved another person, they would set them free. They would want that person to live a happy life and not have too much pressure or burden on them. That was the only way to create a meaningful life.

Gary felt that his endless pursuit was only putting more pressure on Celeste.

Sneaking away so early in the morning, she must have realized that someone was following her, and she got so anxious that she left without even bringing her luggage.

It seemed like she was trying her best to distance herself from The Jones family.

"Let's go back." After Gary watched the surveillance tape, he told Lowell in low spirits, "Let's not bother her anymore."

Lowell became anxious when he heard that. His eyes darkened, and extreme anxiety could be seen in them. "If you don't look for Celeste, then wouldn't your relationship be completely over? How can that happen? Even if you want it to end, you should still look for her first."

"There's no need to look for her. She's already avoiding me." Gary pursed his lips in a self-deprecating manner. "If that's the case, I would just be giving her even more troubles."

"But we haven't even seen her yet, how can you be so sure that she is hiding from you? What if she is in danger or some troubles?" Lowell dared not be so pessimistic.

"That is not the case. She is purposely hiding from me. Can't you see that she is secretly sneaking away?"

"But what about her studies? It took her so much effort to study in Boston, is she going to give that up? How could she give up halfway like that, wouldn't it be a waste of her efforts?" Lowell was even more worried. If she gave up on her studies, then all these years of academic stress would be wasted.

Gary was stunned. That was right, she had studied for so many years. It would be a real pity for her to give up studying.

"Help me find her then," Gary said, "I don't think that Celeste wants to see me. If you find her, help me pass a message to her."

Lowell was even more shocked. "Gary, why are you so worried and afraid? You don't even want to meet Celeste, how would you know what's on her mind? I think the person Celeste wants to see the most is still you. It's fine if you want me to pass her a message, but I am just afraid that you two will really miss the chance to get back together."

"Just do as I say. Hurry up and find her." Gary said, "I'm tired."

This time, Gary was really exhausted.

He booked a room for Lowell, while he himself stayed in the room Celeste was staying in.

Lowell dared not dawdle around, he immediately arranged for their men to look for Celeste.

At that moment, Celeste was wandering around alone. She was tired and hungry.

Even she was stunned. She did not know why, but she was so hungry that she could eat a whole cow.

She had eaten some pastries at six in the morning but after a few hours, she was hungry again.

Luckily, she saw an Italian restaurant nearby. When she smelled the aroma of fresh pasta, she could feel her saliva drooling out.

She entered the restaurant without thinking twice.

Celeste found a secluded corner that was far from the window. She sat down and ordered a plate of pasta.

Soon, hot spaghetti with fresh cheese scattered all over the top of the aromatic sauce was served. The fragrance was mouth-watering.

Celeste could not wait any longer, she picked up her fork and began to eat quietly.

Usually, she could only finish half a plate of pasta, but on that day, she finished all of it.

After she finished eating, she still wanted more. She even regretted not ordering a large portion.

She was greatly annoyed.
