True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2111

He seemed to be a little nervous.

Sylvia gazed at Kendrix's face from up close.

She felt an unexplainable sense of panic inside her chest. It made her want to run away.

However, such an opportunity was too rare to pass up.

She had no choice but to take the risk and face it bravely.

No one could stop her from liking Kendrix.

Even though she was blushing so much, she did not want to miss any expression Kendrix might make.

After all, she had to get a sense of what he was feeling from his expression.

Fortunately, the answer was what she wanted.

Sylvia blushed as she smiled slightly. Then, she got up and backed up far enough to see Kendrix properly.

She looked at Kendrix with a mix of smugness and shyness as if she were a cat that had stolen some fish from the table.

Her eyes were filled with fear and excitement.

Meanwhile, Kendrix neither moved nor spoke.

"I'll be off now. See you." Sylvia gave Kendrix a meaningful look before she left.

Kendrix sat on the sofa motionless until the door closed. Even then, he did not move except to close his eyes. It was as if he was trying to relive something.

However, the door suddenly opened, and Sylvia stood there looking at Kendrix.

Kendrix's eyes were closed with his arms spread over the back of the sofa. He seemed relaxed.

That tipped Sylvia off as to how Kendrix felt.

Kendrix's sharp senses detected Sylvia's presence, and he opened his eyes.

Indifference set onto his face after he saw Sylvia again, and he became very stoic.

Sylvia smiled and said, "Don't you have anything to say to me? I'm going home."

Kendrix frowned as his body exuded a chilling aura.

Sylvia stuck out her tongue and said, "I know that you're embarrassed, but you should be more forward as a man. But alas, you're so gentle, so I have to do all the hard work. I guess that's what makes us a perfect match, no?"

Kendrix narrowed his eyes a little at her.

Then, Sylvia smiled cheekily and closed the door.

That time, Sylvia really left.

She felt as if her legs had turned to jelly.

It was really a little bit out of character for her to do something like that.

She had done something beyond her imagination. She could be shameless in front of anyone except Kendrix.

When she was with Kendrix, she felt like she turned into a little girl.

She would be extremely shy.

She would also be too embarrassed to be cheeky with him.

Therefore, what she did just now was really out of character.

Alas, he did not say anything about it.

Sylvia felt that with their current situation, Kendrix would not be able to say anything either. Propriety did not allow it.

However, she knew how Kendrix felt, so she was not so anxious anymore.

She covered her face with both hands and let out a long sigh.

Then, she smiled.

Sylvia made her way downstairs.

Kendrix sat quietly for several minutes before he got up.

His tall figure walked to the balcony and stood there, staring out into the darkness.

Then, the phone rang.

He glanced at it and saw that it was Claudia calling.

He stepped back and put the call on speakerphone.

Claudia said, "Kendrix, doesn't it feel sad to watch her leave while you hide by the window?"

Kendrix frowned as he set the phone aside and looked out the window.

"No need to look. I'm in the car downstairs." Claudia smiled and said, "I can see you, but you can't see me. Isn't that interesting?"

Kendrix glanced backward and found that he did not turn off the lights in his apartment. That was what gave him away.

He smiled wryly.

It was indeed annoying to have a cousin like Claudia.

"You ruined my plan. I'll get you back for that,"

Kendrix said.

"Kendrix, you've got to be kidding me. I'm doing this for your own good! You've been single for so long, so how can you miss this opportunity? You're going to wither away from loneliness if you don't do anything."

"Shut up!" Kendrix yelled, unable to hold back anymore.
