True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2140

The atmosphere in the Jones Family wasn't too good, it was dead quiet.

That was especially so after Ernest and Leah went back to Leah's place. The whole place was completely silent.

Apart from during lunch, Gary would not come downstairs and he would just stay upstairs in his room.

It was the same for Sebastian.

It was the same for Sylvia as well.

Grace was feeling suffocated by the dull atmosphere because of the children.

Weren't they all kids? They simply looked as if they were a troop with broken-hearts.

Looking at the eldest sibling, then the two youngest ones, all of them were just the same, as if they had all lost their souls.

At first, she thought that Sylvia was still normal. After all, the little girl was a little sensitive. She didn't expect that Sebastian would be like that when he came back as well.

Grace felt really weird.

Her youngest son had always been mature since young, he was always calm and stable. Why was his expression so cold lately?

Did her youngest son get dumped as well?

What was going on?

In the evening, she whispered to Heinz, "Have you noticed that Sebastian seems quite off lately? It looks like he's got a lot on his mind too."

"Not really." Heinz smiled. "Aren't you being too sensitive? I think he is fine."

In fact, Heinz was sharp enough to realize long ago about Sebastian's changes. He just didn't want his pregnant wife to worry even more, that was why he denied it and comforted her.

"I think you're being a bit slow." Grace shot him a glance. "Also, have you heard anything about Celeste yet?"

"Yes," Heinz said. "She's fine. Don't worry."

"Is she going to be okay?" Grace cast a glare at her husband again. "Don't try to hide everything from me just to comfort me."

"I'm not hiding anything from you. What I said is true. Celeste really looked good and fine," Heinz said.

"Then, where is she now?" Grace immediately asked in surprise. "When did you find her? Why are you telling me only now?" "I just got the news as well," Heinz said and took out his phone for his wife to have a look. "See? I just received the message five minutes ago stating that they just found her. She seems to be doing okay."

There was also a photo attached to it, which was very clear. At first glance, it could be seen that Celeste still looked well.

She seemed to have changed a lot, with her temperament more steady and calm, unlike how anxious she was back then.

It was just a photo, and she still couldn't properly see how Celeste was living. Grace was still worried. "It's just a picture, after all. Perhaps it's just by coincidence that it was captured when she was in a good state. Whether she is really doing fine or not, we cannot be sure about it yet."

"Honey." Heinz looked at his wife seriously and said, "You should know that whatever life she is living now, it was all her own choice. All we can do is just to make sure that she is living fine. As for trying to interfere in her life, I suppose it's not right for us to do so.

After all, these are the kids' own lives, and they are free to make their own choices. I think what we should do is respect their decisions." he

continued.

"I understand what you're saying." Grace nodded. "It's just that she has even given up her studies now. I cannot help but worry for her knowing that she's out there on her own. I'm afraid that she was being too rash on making her decisions and she might regret it later."

"If that's the case, then that's the price she would have to pay," Heinz said solemnly. "She's already in her twenties. She's completely capable of doing things on her own. She should understand how the choices she make would affect her own future. Furthermore, if she can't even think through on what she herself wants, none of us can help her."

"Although that's true, Celeste is still pitiful," Grace said, "Why don't you go meet her and ask her what she thinks? I still think that she has to continue her studies."

Heinz naturally knew that his wife had regrets for not continuing on with her studies, as she had to give birth to their children back then, and she had to give up on a lot. She couldn't continue her studies. She had to endure all those hardships, and it wasn't easy for her.

She must've been still minding and feeling upset about that all the while.

As she mentioned it then, Heinz knew very well that his wife had compassion for Celeste.

He looked at his wife and sighed. "Okay then, I'll go and see if I can bring her back here."

Grace was stunned for a moment before she became all delighted. She immediately hugged Heinz and kissed him on the cheek.

The expression of joy in her was obvious. "Hubby, thank you so much."

Heinz was also dumbstruck.

He didn't expect to get such a delightful reaction from her. He was touched for a bit as he moved forward, proceeding to request for a long kiss.

Grace felt a little uncomfortable. After struggling for a while, Heinz immediately stopped.

He knew that his wife was pregnant then, so he shouldn't be too impulsive.

He adjusted his emotions and took a deep breath to suppress the surging impulse in him. "I will go within these two days, but whether I can bring her back or not would depend on her own thoughts. Anyway, I promise to meet her."

"Whether she comes back or not, we should still respect her decision," Grace said, "However, I think Celeste might feel awkward if you were the one to meet her to say it."

"Between love and her pride, if she chose her own pride..." Heinz frowned a little. "I would think that she doesn't love our son that much then."

Grace did not refute his words, and she was also actually very clear about what Heinz meant.

If her pride was more important, then love would be behind anything.

She nodded.

Heinz said again, "In fact, I think if she is a smart child who knows how to reflect on herself, she should know to take the initiative to take a step forward."

"Do you think she should come back on her own?" Grace looked up at her husband.
