Sylvia's face grew paler as she smiled wryly once again; blood drained completely from her face. Tears began pooling in her eyes, rendering them misty, looking absolutely entrancing.
The sight would probably turn any man on.
As frustration surged within his bloodshot eyes, Kendrix said coldly, looking at the girl's ashen face, "You want to be a two-timer, huh? You sure are a spoiled lady from a wealthy family."
His tone was full of mockery.
"Kendrix, don't you think you're judging the book by its cover? How can you jump to the conclusion without even asking me what happened?"
"Is there even a need?" Kendrix retorted. "You've already thrown yourself at that man. Do I need to say anything more?"
Stupefied, that car from earlier popped up in her head.
The car that had whizzed past them when Chigo was hugging her.
It was only then that she realized the driver might be Kendrix.
He had seen Chigo embracing her, and it accounted for his current behavior and assumption, which caused him to look askance at her.
Huh!
No wonder.
In that case, she was really the reason Kendrix had been boozing.
Having that idea in mind, the bitterness within her vanished at once. She felt much relieved and much better.
She even felt a touch of pride and joy. If Kendrix really imbibed to drown his sorrows because he was mad at her, it demonstrated that he was into her.
It was precisely because she had caught his fancy that he was furious.
She could assume it was a sign of jealousy, couldn't she?
"If you're that driver, I want to say that you've assumed wrong. I didn't throw myself at anyone."
"I saw it with my very own eyes. Are you trying to deny it?" Kendrix growled.
Reeled, Sylvia said, "You, you really saw it? You really are the driver?!"
Taken aback by her surprised tone, only then did
Kendrix realize what he had said.
Turning his face away instantly, he no longer wanted to make eye contact with the girl in front of him, even more so for her to read his thoughts.
He said solemnly, "Whatever you do has nothing to do with me. It's your choice who you want to hug."
"But I want to hug you," Sylvia blurted out.
Shocked at what she had just said, Sylvia blushed in an instant, reddening her ears and neck.
She was mortified.
However, she thought she had to put up a brave front in this situation. If she didn't make her feelings clear right then, Kendrix might get angrier.
Kendrix barely wore his heart on his sleeves, so she couldn't let this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity slip through her fingers.
Gathering her courage, Sylvia looked into his eyes seriously.
Kendrix was shocked.
It probably never occurred to him that this girl would react so courageously.
His frustration grew as he gawked at the girl; various indescribable emotions surged deep within his bloodshot eyes.
Sylvia was afraid he didn't hear her words, or the wine might have fuddled him and caused him to take no notice of her words.
Therefore, this time, she said word by word, "I want to hug you, not anyone but you."
This time, she repeated it while gazing into the man's eyes. Each word of hers conveyed clearly to his ears.
Frowning, Kendrix pulled on her over out of the blue and sat her on his lap.
Stunned momentarily, Sylvia fixed her eyes on him in spite of her reddened face.
It reeled her that Kendrix would do something this aggressive.
She had no idea what Kendrix was thinking, but she thought it wasn't bad to have a glass or two sometimes.
It wasn't that she thought Kendrix might harm her; she believed he wouldn't really.
Even if he dragged her onto his lap, he wouldn't do anything else.
But, oh, how wrong she was.
The man stretched out his hand and held her chin with his slender fingers.
She could feel the caress of his alcoholic breath on her cheeks. "Do you think I don't dare?"
Pouting, Sylvia nodded and stared at the man in front of her with her big innocent eyes. "I think you don't."
Looking at her red lips, fair face, and beautiful beady eyes, Kendrix couldn't hold back any longer and kissed her lips.
"Mmph!"
As his lips touched hers, his warm breath and the aroma of the wine put her in a trance.
As soon as her voice came out, she could feel the man tense up.
What was more, he extended his tongue into her mouth brazenly.
This was definitely no a-peck-on-the-lips, but a hot French kiss.
Nor was it one of gentleness, kissing a girl.
But a man's most primitive passion toward a woman.
Sylvia had also sensed the potential danger rousing from his sexual excitement.
And that danger got her rather panicked.
Nevertheless, she didn't push him away but wrapped her arms around his neck instead.
The man's body stiffened again, breathing heavily as he kissed her.
Finally, they separated.
Sylvia's whole body went limp, nestling in his arms as her mind went utterly blank.
She looked dazedly at the man before her.
Her obsidian-like bright eyes blinked before him, looking utterly stunning.
Kendrix's eyes overflowed with the desire to have her as he stared at her breathlessly, heaving.
But he was now more clear- headed, suddenly bringing himself to her, cuddling as he nestled his face on her neck.
He no longer gazed into the girl's eyes again because her big bright black eyes were as pure and brilliant as the driven snow, not a speck of impurity.
