True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2172

Inside the taxi, Sylvia and Kendrix sat at the back with the taxi driver driving them.

Kendrix wore a straight face, all silent.

Sylvia didn't make a sound either, filling the car with an ambiguous atmosphere.

The driver looked at them through the rear-view mirror several times.

The girl kept moving her eyes, but her line of vision never left Kendrix.

Kendrix extended his hand to turn her face over, facing forward.

Sylvia grinned as she took a gander at him, still silent.

The driver only thought the two were strange and wondered if they were a couple.

However, they didn't look to be.

Siblings then?

At last, he asked out of curiosity, "Are you two siblings?"

Kendrix knitted his brows, hearing that, looking displeased.

He was reproaching the driver for being a busybody.

Sharp-witted, Sylvia said with a smile, "Yeah, he's my cousin."

"Ha, I thought I could see the resemblance. So, you two are cousins, eh?"

"Do we really look alike?" Sylvia touched her face and turned to observe Kendrix's, at which she didn't think so, wondering how the driver concluded.

Still frowning, Kendrix said nothing.

Sylvia had a feeling Kendrix was exasperated as he emanated a strong sense of disapproval from head to toe.

Sylvia thought she was beginning to understand his facial expressions; as such, his displease expressed with furrowed brows.

However, she still couldn't tell why he was upset. Was it because the driver remarked that they looked alike?

"Why would you think so?"

"Because you two are both beautiful, of course!" Perhaps in the driver's impression, all goodlooking people were related.

Sylvia didn't manage to hold back her laughter, chuckling. This was the first time she came

across such logic.

Kendrix was still silent.

Sylvia started chatting with the driver. "Who do you think is more good-looking then? Me or my cousin?"

"Both just as beautiful," the driver answered.

Sylvia darted another glance at Kendrix to find he was still pulling a long face.

All smiles, Sylvia teased Kendrix, "You hear that, dear cousin? The driver said you're as beautiful as me."

"Misnomer," Kendrix said indifferently.

"Yeah, you're right." The driver nodded immediately. "I should use handsome or cool to describe a guy instead of beautiful. See, I dropped out of school back in the day; I can't even use the right words. Miss, your cousin is super cool and handsome, out of this world."

Sylvia blinked, staring at Kendrix while saying to the driver, "You're right about one thing for sure. He's indeed out of this world."

Kendrix was her type in any case.

She was infatuated with men like him.

With his eyelids drooped, Kendrix looked over at her, feeling somewhat helpless, "Sit upright and study hard after you go home."

"Yes, cousin." Sylvia saluted him.

Kendrix's lips curled into a slight smile, seemingly amused by her.

"You sure are close with your cousin, huh, lad."

Sylvia burst into laughter.

Kendrix didn't reply to the driver but only told the girl to sit straight once again.

Noticing the pair fell silent, the driver also stopped talking.

The taxi soon arrived outside of the gated community where Sylvia lived.

After emerging from the taxi together, Kendrix sent the driver on his way.
