True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2189

Sylvia didn't expect Kendrix to guess her thoughts so easily. She couldn't deny that was exactly her plan.

Seeing the girl fall silent, he knew he was right. She still had trouble trusting him, huh?

"Will you be able to handle it if you don't tell me?" Kendrix asked lightly.

"Of course I can," Sylvia said resolutely.

"So, your way of handling it is to have Chigo accompany you guys?" he retorted.

Pursing her lips, she mumbled, "He's with Sebastian; I walked with Claudia. It's not like I'm shopping alone with Chigo."

In other words, he didn't have to be so petty, did he?

How could Kendrix not tell her underlying words?

"You think I shouldn't be petty and mind because there are four of you, and you're not walking with him, isn't it?"

"Yeah, I really don't think you should be this petty." Sylvia expressed her thoughts, "Besides, you also told me not to always look for you. Isn't it all because I'm worried you'd tell me off for always disturbing you and making things difficult for you."

For some reason, Sylvia thought whatever she said seemed to be wrong.

Was she not considerate enough?

She didn't think so.

Besides, how would she know how Kendrix would take the matter anyway? Regardless, he was all she wanted.

But the way he asked her seemed as though he didn't trust her. The notion got her a little hurt, thinking he got it all wrong.

He'd ignore her and throw vague flirtatious hints at her before they became a couple.

However, now they have gone steady, they still hadn't gone out as a couple despite video chatting every day.

No dates, no rendezvous, nothing.

As it was underground love, so of course, she naturally thought things could only be like this dating him, only video chatting if she missed him dearly.

But even if that was all they did, Sylvia was still gratified. After all, he had already become her boyfriend.

She fully understood Kendrix's concerns too. After all, it wasn't suitable for them to make their relationship public at the moment.

She was still underaged, and Kendrix still had a month until before he stepped away from his position as her teacher.

Under such circumstances, it wouldn't do them any good to make their relationship public, no matter how.

Thus, she thought telling him would only add to his troubles. Besides, she could sort her relationship with Chigo well, and nothing was going on between them anyway.

However, his question had her thinking he didn't trust her enough.

Seeing he only looked at her in silence, Sylvia muttered again, "I was only thinking for your sake. I was worried you'd be affected if we met in public. Besides, there's no romance between Chigo and me, so you have to trust that I can sort this out myself."

Sylvia's comment about having no romance between Chigo and her pleased Kendrix, and hearing the accusation and grievance in her tone, a hint of a smile flashed across his eyes. "Alright, I know. Aren't you hungry? C'mon, let's eat."

They reached the barbecue restaurant in no time; it was just at the corner of the street. The restaurant was a hit with night owls; despite it being the end of the holidays, it was still packed with people.

When the two of them entered, they immediately attracted a lot of attention.

As they were both good-looking, plus Kendrix was exceptionally tall while Sylvia was stunning, they naturally became the center of attention walking side by side.

They found an empty table in the corner which would fit the group perfectly.

So the two made their way there.

Kendrix first ordered some food for Sylvia before he ordered tea for everyone.

Sylvia couldn't help asking, "Are you not feeling well? Why did you order tea?"
