True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2192

"If love could be won over so easily, would I just sit back and watch?" Chigo smiled bitterly.

It was exactly that he understood love couldn't be forced that he didn't act rashly.

Sylvia's feelings and stance were evident with how his hair comb incident ended.

He shouldn't continue to pester her like that; it was inappropriate.

Sebastian felt bad for him. If Kendrix put in half the effort Chigo did, he wouldn't be this upset.

Meanwhile, Claudia continued with her shopping while the guys whispered behind her.

Claudia turned around inadvertently to see they were muttering to each other. However, she could only idle as their voices were too soft for her to eavesdrop, and she, of course, didn't dare to make it obvious she was listening to them.

But she bet no matter what they were talking about, it definitely had to do with Sylvia and Kendrix. Otherwise, it would've been a wasted trip for Chigo, wouldn't it?

"Sebastian, I remember you used to think highly of

Kendrix. How come you've suddenly changed sides?" Chigo smiled as he looked at Sebastian with curiosity.

Stumped by his question, Sebastian got a little embarrassed as he had forgotten about Chigo until his recent return.

Perhaps it was because they hadn't kept in touch for years.

If Chigo hadn't contacted him recently, he probably had forgotten entirely about him.

But he had to admit, Chigo's return got him thinking Sylvia probably needed a caring boyfriend and not an arrogant man like Kendrix.

That was why Sebastian switched sides, wanting to set Sylvia up with Chigo.

However, he didn't expect Chigo to doubt his past support toward Kendrix.

He knew there was no need to hide anything in front of an intelligent person.

Since Chigo had seen through him, there was no reason for him to be secretive, no?

Sebastian smiled and said, "I did think Mr. Trevino was a rare talent, plus Sylvia was infatuated with him, so I thought it wasn't a bad idea for him to be my brother-in-law. But after you came back, and I saw the effort you put into the hair comb you gave Sylvia, I wavered and thought you'd suit her better." He wasn't exactly lying, speaking from the bottom of his heart, being rather honest.

Chigo could naturally tell that. He smiled and said, "If my guess is correct, you've long forgotten about me, haven't you?"

Sebastian quirked his lips, embarrassed. "Yeah, I'm not going to lie; we haven't been in contact for so long, I've started to forget about you."

"Though I know you're just telling the truth, hearing it still hurts. You actually forgot about me, my overbearing existence. Ah, my heart!" Chigo joked; though complaining, his expression was one of benevolence.

"I still didn't hurt you as bad as Sylvia did, no?" Sebastian retorted with a chuckle.

"Yeah." Chigo laughed. "She really gave me a scar this time."

Sebastian smiled too, but there was a hint of worry in it.

Chigo probably wouldn't be able to get what he wanted in the end.

"What about you? What's going on between you and Miss Loris?" Chigo asked innocently when he noticed there seemed to be some tension between the two.

He had always thought being the gentleman Sebastian was, he wouldn't be rude to Claudia, but here they were.

Moreover, their conversations were filled with hostility, which baffled Chigo, finding it nuanced.
