True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 222

Grace came back to her senses after hearing what Ernest had said. She didn't expect Ernest to be such a polite and mature child.

"It's okay." Grace shook her head and looked at the lovely child. He was so handsome. His facial features looked familiar to Grace.

Grace looked at him and walked over. She said gently, "Ernest, welcome to our house. I am really happy that you came over to our house to play with Little Gary."

She put her hand on his shoulder and looked into his big eyes.

All of a sudden, she felt sad for some reason.

Grace said gently again, "Ernest, do you know this is the first time Little Gary brought a friend over? I'm very happy that both of you are good friends."

"Oh, really?" Ernest was a little shy. Then, he said, "This is also my first time visiting a friend's house. I was very lonely in kindergarten before."

"Oh?" Grace was shocked.

Gary looked at his mother and shrugged. He said, "Mommy, I'll be lonely as well if it weren't for Ernest. I'm glad to have him as my friend."

Upon hearing this, Grace's heart ached. She said, "I'm happy for you both to have met each other and become good brothers."

Ernest nodded his head and said, "Yea, it feels like

we have known each other for a really long time.”

"Yeah, I feel that way too," Gary replied.

Grace felt sad when she looked at them smiling together. They looked so similar!

Grace's heart ached.

She hoped she could see them smiling forever.

Their smiles were so bright and charming.

It made her happy knowing that the kids were happy.

Grace looked at them happily and said, "Alright, guys. Continue playing with your toys. I'm going to go prepare dinner."

"Auntie, thank you!" Ernest said politely.

Grace shook her head and said, "It's my pleasure. Ernest, you have to come over often, okay?"

Ernest nodded his head again and said, "Yes, of course. As long as you don't mind."

"Don't worry, mommy. I'm sure that he'll come over often." Gary said. Then, he put his arm around his shoulder and said, "He's my best friend."

"I know. Well, please enjoy." Grace nodded her head and said.

Alice had washed a few fruits and placed them on a plate when Grace walked into the kitchen.

"Sister, please let them have some fruits first. We're going to have a scrumptious dinner. So, I might take a longer time to prepare for it. I'm afraid that they'll be hungry." Alice said.

"Alice, it seems that you know how to take care of children very well. I believe you'll be a good mother in the future." Grace hoped that her sister would get married and have children. She wanted her to have a blissful life.

Alice was stunned. She looked a little sad.

Get married and have kids?

But she did not want any of those. She was still traumatized by what had happened that fateful night.

She did not want to marry anyone.

Grace saw Alice lowered her head. She had stopped cutting the fruits as well. It seemed that she was thinking about something.

Grace suddenly understood what she was thinking. She sighed and did not say anything. She took the plate of fruits out to the kids.

She could not force Alice.
