Heinz couldn't say anything more after Sebastian's retort.
He just smiled at looked at his son subtly.
Sebastian went to the living room and sat down in a seat at the sofa, facing the dining area.
Claudia didn't seem to have much reaction from the turns of events. She continued eating as if all of that had nothing to do with her.
Sebastian frowned at the sight of her munching away with such good appetite, and there was a hint of displeasure in his eyes.
Just then, his stomach made a grumbling sound.
The frown on his forehead increased.
He had left the dining table to avoid the conversation, so he hadn't eaten properly. As he looked at Claudia enjoying her meal so much, he felt even more depressed.
If he had known that would happen earlier, he would have eaten more. It was such a pity to waste such delicious food.
Unaware of it, his eyes were fixed on one spot in the dining area.
Heinz noticed his gaze, which looked loving somehow.
He raised his brows subtly and looked at Grace.
Grace found it weird too, so she winked at Heinz, trying to ask him what was going on.
Heinz took a look at Sebastian again and then back at her. It was clear what he was implying.
Grace had no choice but to follow his gaze, and she realized that Sebastian was staring into the dining area blankly.
From the look of it, she knew that he did not have his fill. She knew how great his appetite was and he would usually eat more, and he only had so little to eat that day.
What was more, Sebastian was still in puberty, so it was normal for him to have a large appetite.
However, he ate too little that day. It was evident that there was something wrong, and it might be related to Claudia's appearance.
Grace quietly withdrew her gaze and glanced at Claudia.
Claudia so happened to have raised her head and she met Grace and Heinz's eyes. She smiled and said, "Aunt Smith, Uncle Jones, I don't think Little Jones ate much. He is still in puberty. Having such little food wouldn't be enough."
Claudia's tone was unhurried, and her voice was neither loud nor low, but Sebastian could hear what she said.
He froze, withdrew his gaze, and pretended not to hear their conversation while he sat in the living room.
Claudia also happened to glance at him and noticed that slight change.
"Indeed, he didn't eat much," Grace said in a low voice, matter of factly. "He may be a little shy today. He usually eats a lot. Although he went to the sofa, I guess his stomach should be growling now."
"I think he is still hungry too. He indeed ate very little today," Sylvia spoke unexpectedly, agreeing to the fact that Sebastian didn't eat much.
"Is it because I'm here for dinner today?" Claudia glanced at Heinz, Grace, and Sylvia, and blinked her eyes.
She could tell that Heinz and Grace had no intention of calling Sebastian back to the dining table.
Claudia pointed to herself and said, "Do you want me to call him over to have some more food?"
"There's no need for that," Heinz said, "He won't come even if we do. That is just how he is." "Perhaps he's just shy." Claudia smiled and said, "Uncle Jones, Aunt Smith, meals here are delicious. If I keep coming over for dinner, wouldn't Little Jones starve every time?"
"He chose it for himself. No one can stop him from starving." Heinz smiled and said, "Claudia, you are welcome to come over for dinner as often as you like."
"That's right. Do come often. The more, the merrier. We will surely welcome you." Sylvia agreed. Excitedly, she said, "Perhaps Sebastian would overcome his shyness. He couldn't keep starving himself, right?"
Sylvia's voice was a little loud, so naturally, Sebastian heard her.
He got up immediately and went upstairs, ignoring his parents.
