Sylvia's expression soon relaxed. She no longer felt guilty when she looked at Claudia.
"Claudia, you'd better clean up the mess." Sylvia quickly changed the topic. She did not want to make things awkward amongst them. She pointed at the pile of things on the ground and said to Claudia, "Look at that pile of mess. Why don't I help you?"
"All right, thank you. You're still the best." Claudia immediately nodded with a smile. "You need some time to digest the juice that you drank anyways. You drank a lot of it. Come and help me sort out some of these things."
"All right." Sylvia immediately agreed.
She walked over to Claudia and started tidying the mess on the ground.
When Kendrix saw that, he frowned. He was a little suspicious as he thought to himself, "Sylvia can barely even cut fruits. Is she capable of cleaning up this mess?"
Sylvia noticed the doubt in Kendrix's eyes in an instant.
Why was Mr. Trevino looking at her like that? Is he doubting her abilities in sorting things out?
Although she had never entered the kitchen, it did not mean she wasn't capable of cleaning up. She was actually good at it.
Why was he looking at her like that?
Did he really think that she was so useless?
She was very upset by that.
Sylvia felt a flash of irritation. She thought to herself, "I must show him that I can do it! I don't want him to look at me so sympathetically and I want to prove to him that he was wrong about me!"
Sylvia took a deep breath to perk herself up. Then, she reminded herself not to think too much and just do her task well.
She then explained to Claudia the things the she bought for her, and told her about what their usage were. She also suggested that they should be kept at certain places for easier access.
In that respect, Sylvia knew it quite well and she had her own preferences.
Claudia agreed with her suggestions.
The two girls started tidying up Claudia's apartment while also looking at how to decorate the place.
After a while, the pile of mess on the floor was finally put into their respective places.
There were less things on the ground then compared to before. The place looked much tidier then instantly.
The entire cabinet was filled with all sorts of things. Suddenly, the entire apartment went from looking like a messy boy's room to a tidy looking apartment, fit for a girl.
Even Kendrix was a little surprised when he saw the results. In fact, he was stunned by her ability at it.
Kendrix looked at Sylvia, a glint of awe flashed across his eyes, then a gentle smile slowly appeared on his lips.
Sylvia secretly looked back at Kendrix and suddenly felt embarrassed when she found him staring at her so intently.
However, Sylvia noticed the admiration in Kendrix's eyes.
Was he surprised by her?
Unconsciously, she was beaming with pride when she saw the look in his eyes. She was still a little girl after all.
She raised her chin slightly, her eyes were bright and shining.
Kendrix was also stunned when he looked at her. Then, a huge smile spread across his face as he looked at her so gently and dotingly.
Kendrix and Sylvia stared at each other with their big eyes, as if they were the only ones in the room. They totally forgot that they had a third wheel next to them.
Claudia was also speechless when she saw the two looking at each other that day. Did they have to be so obsessed with each other?
Claudia wanted to remind them that she was still in the room, but they were just too busy looking at each other, totally forgetting her presence.
Sigh!
Claudia did not know what to say, and in fact, she was a little envious. She reached out and pinched her nose bridge. She wonder whether she should make a dash for the exit or continue being a third wheel there.
