True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 2257

When Kendrix heard Sylvia's words, he narrowed his eyes and stared deeply at her flushed face.

She was very bold, and Kendrix immediately understood what she meant.

On the contrary, Kendrix looked at Sylvia with his burning gaze as he heard what she said.

Sylvia seemed to realize that her words were a little flirtatious. Her face turned even redder.

She looked at Kendrix, slightly embarrassed. "I hope you don't misunderstand me. What I mean is just that I can't wait to grow up, so you will not feel so pressured when dating me."

"Oh, really?" Kendrix teased, his tone unhurried. He continued to look at her and smiled.

"What are you smiling at?" Sylvia suddenly felt her heart fluttered when she saw him smiling.

A faint smile appeared on Kendrix's handsome face. His tall and slender figure leaned back on the sofa lightly.

He seemed to look very relaxed at that moment, his aura changed. He leaned against the back of the sofa while he crossed his long legs.

He did not seem frivolous at all. On the contrary, it made him looked incredibly charming and chill.

"You're right. I do hope that you will quickly grow up too," Kendrix said with a smile.

"No, that's not what I asked. I asked you, what are you smiling yet?" Sylvia did not want that answer.

"You're very persistent, aren't you?" Kendrix stared at Sylvia with his deep eyes.

Sylvia's heart skipped a beat. She felt as if she had poked a hornet's nest. If she continued to ask, she was afraid that it wouldn't do her any good.

She curled her lips and muttered, "What's wrong with that? I don't have anything to be afraid of."

There was a faint smile on Kendrix's face. He looked calmly at Sylvia. He was neither anxious nor impatient. She was the only one in his eyes.

Sylvia's heart was beating wildly in her chest. Just when she thought Kendrix would say something, he suddenly took out his cell phone and sent a voice message to Claudia.

He said, "Claudia, I just remembered that there is an excellent dessert shop just around the corner. Do you mind getting some dessert for us?"

Sylvia was confused. She wondered why he suddenly asked Claudia to buy them dessert.

Sylvia frowned and realized that Kendrix must have done it on purpose.

The next second, Claudia replied him with a voice message.

Kendrix played it in front of her. So, she heard it clearly.

Claudia said, "Kendrix, I know of a very good dessert shop, but it takes about half an hour to get there. I can go and get us some dessert. It's probably going to take at least an hour. Are you in a rush?"

Sylvia could hear Claudia's smile in her voice.

Sylvia felt that Claudia was teasing Kendrix.

She looked at Kendrix nervously.

Kendrix was also looking at Sylvia at that moment. When she looked into Kendrix's dark and deep eyes, she again felt an inexplicable flutter in her chest. Her mind even went blank for a few minutes.

Kendrix replied, "I don't mind waiting if it's really delicious."

"All right then. Please help me inform Sylvia that I'll be going out to get the desserts, but I have one request, you're going to have to treat us!"

"No problem," Kendrix replied flatly.

"All right then. Well, it looks like you're going to wait for awhile. The journey's going to take me about an hour plus." "No problem." Kendrix answered rather calmly.

Sylvia let out a sigh of relief. It should be enough time for the swelling on her lips to go off, and she would also be able to compose herself. In that way, she would not be so embarrassed when Claudia finally return.

However, Sylvia thought wrong.

As soon as Kendrix put away his phone, he patted the spot on the sofa next to him, looked at Sylvia, and said, "Come here!"

"What are you doing?" Sylvia's heart rate immediately increased again. For some reason, she felt a little nervous, especially when she saw the look in Kendrix's eyes.

Kendrix continued to pat on the sofa, gesturing for her to walk over.

When Sylvia met Kendrix's eyes, she immediately got lost in his eyes. Her mind was a blank, and it was as if she had been hypnotised by him.
