True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 240

The heavy rain kept pouring.

Water kept falling into her eyes, rendering it hard to open them.

She lifted one hand to shelter her eyes from the rain as she looked over the scene before her. Heinz was indeed half-kneeling on the ground.

"Heinz ?" She shouted again.

"Don't come over." Heinz shouted back.

Grace froze instantly, looked at him, and shouted in shock, "What happened to you?"

The sound of the rain and wind were very loud. Although they were near each other, her voice sounded soft.

"There's a snake." Heinz said sternly, "Don't come over."

Grace was startled and her mind froze for a moment. She then shouted, "Did you get bitten by a snake?"

"Don't come over." Heinz was still half kneeling on the ground as he repeated himself.

The heavy rain continued to fall on his body, and his body was drenched through.

Grace did not hesitate nor was she afraid. There was only a voice in her heart asking her to walk over.

She strode over to meet Heinz without hesitation,

crouched down, and shone the cell phone's flashlight on his face. "You were bitten, weren't you?"

Heinz grabbed her shoulder and shouted with all his might at her, "Who let you come over? Why won't you listen to me?"

Grace was not swayed by his shouting. She shone the flashlight around the area, and there were no snakes.

She double-checked to make sure that there were no snakes around anymore.

"Don't get angry at me just yet." Grace shouted, "Where did you get bitten? Let me see."

Grace shone the flashlight at him and noticed that there were two small holes in his left ankle, which were bleeding.

Grace was shocked.

"Isn't that a snake bite? I didn't know that snakes appeared during rainy days?"

Heinz said nothing as he was feeling a little dizzy at the moment.

The rain kept pouring, and both of them were drenched.

What a bewildered state they were in.

Grace couldn't care less. She reached out and grabbed Heinz's arm. "Come on, I'll help you get up. Let's go to the car. I'll take you to the hospital immediately."

Heinz felt sick and dizzy after shouting for a while.

Grace tried her best to carry him up, so he could only cooperate with her.

However, almost all of his weight was on Grace.

They got up together and walked toward the car.

She opened the car door at the back seat, helped him in, and went in the car as well.

She fetched a blanket from the back of the car and threw it on him to wipe his hair. She couldn't care about anything else as she lifted his injured leg and rolled up his pants, only to see that the wound was getting a little dark.

Grace's heart sank to her stomach.

Was this snake poisonous?!

Her mind was blown in an instant. She couldn't make out what kind of snake venom it was.

Seeing that the color of the blood was a little dark, her mind suddenly flashed back to the martial arts films that she'd watched. When a person gets bitten by a venomous snake, someone needs to suck the blood out to prevent the venom from reaching the heart.

She didn't think twice before she bent over and began to suck the blood out from the wound.

Heinz shivered and shouted in a low voice, "Grace, what are you doing?"

Grace simply ignored him, took off her coat, and spat out the blood on her coat.

Heinz narrowed his eyes and glared at her. Strong emotions rushed through him.

"What a crazy woman. What if she dies?” He thought to himself.

She didn't care anymore and continued to suck on the wound deeply.
