True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 247

Heinz nodded in agreement.

Grace nodded as well. "Then I'll have to trouble you, officer."

Alice had already opened the door and left.

Jensen didn't have enough time to say anything in return, so he could only nod slightly in reply and guickly followed after her.

She was still very upset and annoyed.

Jensen hurried over as she continued walking at a fast pace. "Alice, wait." He called.

"Alice? Who allowed you to call me Alice?" she shouted grumpily.

"Oh, I'm sorry.” Jensen immediately said, "What's should I call you then? Miss Alice Smith, or maybe Miss Smith?"

Alice frowned and stopped. She turned to look at Jensen and said coldly, "What on earth do you want?"

Jensen could see that Alice's attitude was very unfriendly.

He knew that she was venting all her anger on him, but he still smiled and said, "I'm just following your sister's orders to send you home."

Alice frowned. "Why are you so obedient towards my sister's orders?" "Why must there be any reason? Logically speaking,

it's obvious that I should send you back."

"Logically speaking?" Alice became angrier when she heard that. She asked sharply, "What kind of logic is that?"

Jensen saw that she had a sharp look in her eyes, and they were sparkling from her tears before.

He knew that she was being vigilant, so he smiled honestly and said, "Your sister and I are friends. Wouldn't it be convenient for you if I send you back?"

Alice pressed the elevator button. "There's no need.

I can walk by myself."

"But it's still very troublesome for you to go by yourself. It would be a waste of money and time, wouldn't it?" He tried to persuade her.

"Can you speak properly?" Hearing this, Alice became impatient.

Jensen continued to smile and said, "It's better that I send you home."

"How so?" She asked.

"You can save money as you won't need to pay for a taxi. Moreover, I'll be sending you home in my police uniform, it would be much safer, don't you agree?"

Alice said nothing in reply.

"What if you encounter a similar situation as last time? I know you have extraordinary skills, but if you were to send another person to hospital again, wouldn't it be even more troublesome?" Jensen continued his sentence although he realized that she was frowning, "Your sister will also worry about you, won't she?”

Alice couldn't refute that.

He continued. "You see, even your sister trusts me. Why don't you just accept my offer? You can save your sister some worries when she's sick."

Alice frowned and looked at Jensen's grinning face. All she felt was discomfort looking at that man in police uniform.

She lowered her eyes.

"Don't be so distrustful..." He continued to persuade her.

"You're so annoying." She looked at him out of the corner of her eyes. "If you're willing to send me back, then send me back."

"Okay." Jensen immediately answered, "Of course I'm willing to."

Alice kept guiet the whole time she was in his car.

He decided to try his luck and asked, "Are you free tonight?"

"I don't have time," she answered curtly.

"You still have to eat, don't you?"

"Why do you care?"

"I want to have dinner with you."

"No, thank you."

Jensen didn't know what to say to that.

There was no expression on Alice's face. She swept her gaze across his face and said, "Don't talk to me. I'm upset."

Jensen smirked as he looked at her. This girl was too protective of her sister.
