"Don't open the door yet," Grace called out to Alice.

"Why are you afraid of her?" Alice looked like she was ready to fight. "She's the one who came to you. It's a waste if we don't take this chance to teach her a lesson."

Grace said, "I know. Why don't you put the groceries in the kitchen first?"

"Huh?" Alice blinked her eyes in astonishment and then said, "You're really something."

She then picked up the groceries from the floor and brought them to the kitchen.

Grace nodded with satisfaction. "That's it. I'll settle things with her myself."

"Knock-knock," the knocking continued.

Marry seemed like she was going to keep on knocking if the door was not answered.

"Let's answer it. I'm afraid she would leave and we won't be able to sort it out with her," Alice said worriedly.

"Don't be in a hurry. Let's test her patience," Grace said. "Based on my understanding of her, she wouldn't give up easily until she reaches her goal. I think we should wait." "But—" Alice hesitated.

"Go get a basin of cold water," Grace whispered.

Upon hearing this, Alice caught the idea and immediately headed to the kitchen.

Grace came after her and asked, "Are there any beans in the kitchen?"

Alice thought for a while and nodded, "Yes, there is a packet of red beans left."

"I'll go look for it," Grace said and proceeded to search through the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Alice got the basin of water ready.

Grace then poured the red beans into the water.

"So the plan is, I'll open the door and dodge, then you'll splash the water out. We have to pull this off together, okay?"

"Okay." Alice smiled devilishly. "I like your righteous look now, Grace. You shouldn't be taken for granted."

"Focus," Grace reminded.

"Don't worry." Alice carried the basin of water loaded with red beans and walked toward the door and placed it on the shoe cabinet, holding onto it with her hands.

"Knock-knock-"

The knocking still hadn't stopped.

Grace winked at Alice and opened the door.

Marry stood at the door with a proud look on her face. She smiled slightly and said, "I knew that you were home. How was it? Heinz came to you just now, didn't he? Does he know about the child?"

"You told him," Grace said indifferently.

"Yes, I did." Marry said with a mocking grin, "I'll get back what I lost from you." "You're out of your mind," Grace said coldly. "You lost your baby, and we both know the reason behind it. You probably didn't expect that you would actually get pregnant, and now your little tricks got back on yourself. Hah, this really is karma talking."
