True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 294

Grace stared at Heinz with distant and indifferent eyes. It was as if she was a queen, looking at his shameful act with disdain.

The look in her eyes was condescending.

Heinz's pupils contracted tightly, he squinted his eyes at Grace and said, "What's your relationship with that man?"

"Hmph!" Grace gave a wry smile and said, "Does it have anything to do with you?"

"Yes, it does," he said in a low voice.

"How so?" Grace looked at him with a smirk.

Just when Heinz was about to speak, suddenly footsteps could be heard coming from outside. It was the clicking sound of high heels.

Grabbing the great opportunity, Grace immediately shouted, "Hei—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Heinz covered her mouth with one hand and placed the other on her chest.

She froze and was at a loss for words.

Moving closer to her, Heinz whispered in her ear, "If you move again, I can't guarantee what I'd do."

Grace inhaled deeply, her eyes flashed with anger.

A heavy silence fell upon them.

She didn't say anything but fixed her gaze at Heinz

coldly.

He returned her gaze too. Their eyes were burning with rage.

"Swoosh- " The sound of running water came from the next stall, making the atmosphere even more awkward.

Heinz narrowed his eyes and locked them on hers.

The woman facing him had such delicate and beautiful facial features, which made his heart flutter. Especially her pair of sparkling eyes that are glowing bright.

That gaze of hers was so calm.

When Heinz thought about it, he realized that she had always been rational.

Except for that time on the mountain, when they encountered a venomous snake on that pouring night. She had lost her cool and helped him suck out the venom.

That was the only time he had seen her lose her mind. Under normal circumstances, she had always been portraying a calm demeanor.

Heinz could only think of one reason for her behavior. She did not love him enough.

That was why she could easily move on after their break up. Meanwhile, he was like a fool, unable to let go of her.

He was simmering with anger as he looked at her being so distant and cold towards him.

"Click-clack click-clack..." The sounds of the high heels faded out, again there was no one else in the

restroom.

Grace immediately reached out and tried to push Heinz away. "Let me go!" she said.

"You've known Tyler for a long time, haven't you?" he growled through gritted teeth.

"So what?" she said.

"Do you like him?" he asked.

Grace's heart froze. She was speechless.

Tyler was her friend. Of course she liked him.

But there was no romance involved between them. She had always been able to distinguish her feelings clearly.

"Yes, I like him," Grace said. "In fact I like him very much and it has nothing to do with you. Let go of me, Heinz."

Upon hearing that, Heinz felt as if his world was falling apart.

He felt broken inside.

He stared at the woman in front of him with mixed emotions in his eyes.

Not long ago, she risked her life to save him and they even had a passionate time in the mountain villa. And now, she was throwing him an apathetic look.

In a short span of time, she was happily laughing next to another man and even confessed her love for him.

His heart was shattered into a million pieces.

"How could you...?" He looked at her in a daze, his eyes full of annoyance, accusation, pain, and anger. "How could your feelings change so easily?"
