True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 299

Jensen grasped Alice into her room, only loosening his grip once the door was shut.

"Ah!" Alice heaved a sigh of relief. "Jensen Charm! What are you doing?" she shouted in a high-pitch voice.

"Tell me, what's the relationship between Tyler and your sister?" Jensen did not care anymore. It was a matter of utmost urgency to clear up his confusion.

Alice was suddenly struck with realization. She rotated her big eyes for a few times before she said, "Why do you want to know? Don't you think you've crossed the line?"

"Just tell me." Jensen watched her with glittering eyes. "Alice, I guess you don't wish that Little Gary has a stepfather, do you?"

Alice was mildly bemused and said, "Don't try to deceive me, Jensen. I would definitely give the green light for Tyler to be Little Gary's stepfather. He is the right guy and he's really nice to my sister."

Jensen narrowed his eyes. His eyes flickered with a tinge of worry. "Yes, I could figure that he's really good to your sister, Little Gary, and you. He's much better than Heinz."

"Do you really think so?" Alice turned her head and looked at Jensen in doubt. Since Heinz was Jensen's good friend, she wasn't convinced with his words.

"Well, I'm not blind,” Jensen said as-a-matter-of-fact. "I can see that all of you get along well with him. But with Heinz, you're like oil and water. I can't deny the facts."

Alice's face softened upon hearing Jensen's explanation. "It's great that you think so. Heinz's a bad guy."

"Ahem, ahem!" Jensen almost choked on his saliva.

"It's unfair to say so."

"What do you mean?" her brows knitted when she realized that he was on Heinz's side again.

Jensen explained quickly, "I think you have misunderstood him. Although Heinz is short-tempered, he is not a bad person."

"Ha," Alice let out a sarcastic laugh. "You still have the nerve to say that. With Tyler in the picture now, I really can't see any good in Heinz. Tyler could easily defeat Heinz in an instant."

Jensen's jaw dropped. He looked Alice in the face and couldn't say a word to refute. "Fine, I'm not going to say anything else. It can't change the truth. He is really a jerk."

Alice pointed at him and said, "Let me tell you, Jensen. Do not say anything and do not tell Heinz about Tyler and my sister."

"Heinz has already known it," Jensen said.

Alice was caught by surprise . Her eyes twitched slightly as she stared at him and said, "Did you tell him when he called you on the phone just now?"

"No, I didn't," Jensen replied.

Alice's tone became sharp and she asked in disbelief, "Who told him then?" "I really don't know," Jensen said. "Tell me the truth. What is the relationship between Tyler and Grace? Are they just friends? Why is he staying in her room?"

Alice was startled. Watching his serious face looking down on her, she pressed her lips together and hesitated for a moment.

Then, she questioned him, "Are you being suspicious of my sister's way of life?"

"Why would I be suspicious?” Jensen said. "I wouldn't get your confirmation if I'd think so."

"It's nothing.” Alice became serious and explained, "Whenever Tyler is back, he'd stay in Grace's room, and Grace would share a room with me."

Jensen breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh. That's good."

"What is so good?" Alice frowned. "Are you still doubting her?"

"No," Jensen denied. "What I mean is, there is still a chance for Heinz."
