True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 319

After dinner, Grace got up and went to the kitchen to wash the dishes. Alice and Jensen exchanged a look.

Alice lowered her voice and hissed, "That b*stard must have bullied my sister."

Jensen was a policeman so he definitely understood. He looked at Alice with his sharp eyes and reassured, "Don't worry. Your sister is an adult, not a child. She can take care of herself."

"Whose side are you on?" Alice couldn't help but get angry at him. She said angrily, "If you're siding that b*stard Heinz, you can leave now. Don't come to my house ever again."

Jensen realized that Alice was mad, so he comforted her, "Of course, I'm with you. What I meant is, your sister will feel awkward. Don’t put her in an awkward situation. Otherwise, it will make her feel very embarrassed."

Although Alice suspected that Jensen would side with Heinz, she had to admit that he was right.

Seeing that Alice had acknowledged his words, and she had calmed down a fair bit,

Jensen then continued boldly, "I think that Heinz has figured it out himself. He likes Grace, it’s just that the first time he found out about Little Gary, he didn't know that the child is his. He was too shocked and said harsh things."

"Heh!" Alice sneered at his words. She retorted, "Did he suddenly become compassionate? Are you saying that he couldn't stand it? Why didn't he think of the sin he has committed instead? Who would know of the hardship my sister has been through all these years?"

Jensen understood that Alice was adamant on protecting Grace, and he also knew the misery that Grace had been in. He nodded, "Alice, Heinz doesn't know about Little Gary's existence. If he knows, he will definitely raise the child."

"Don't speak for him," Alice warned in an angered voice. "I don't want you to speak for him."

Jensen opened his mouth but didn't say anything.

After a long while, he uttered, "I'll go help with the dishes."

Alice blocked his way and said, "You don't have to do that. I can help Grace myself.”

Jensen felt very helpless. After Alice entered the kitchen, he couldn't stay idle so he followed her in. "I'll wash the dishes. Both of you can rest."

Grace saw them coming into the kitchen. She was still wearing gloves and washing the plates and cutlery.

She told them, "Don't come in. The kitchen is already small, it won't do if you both enter. I'll do the dishes, you two can go and rest."

"Sis, come out and let him wash," Alice said as she pointed to Jensen.

Jensen nodded, "Let me do it."

"It's okay, I'm almost done," Grace pointed to the plates and cutlery in the sink. "I just need to rinse them."

Left with no choice, Alice helped to clean up the other things.

Soon, the three of them came out from the kitchen together.

There was no one in the living room. It seemed that Little Gary and Tyler were still in the room.

Grace felt strange. She didn't know what that child was up to, but she felt sorry for Little Gary because of Heinz. She felt apologetic and thought that perhaps Tyler could enlighten Little Gary. Therefore, she didn't think much about it.

"Sis, were you bullied by that b*stard today?" Alice couldn't help but ask.

Grace was stunned by her question and soon she understood that Alice was referring to Heinz. She looked down and answered, "I’m fine."

Alice frowned and said, "Sis, if he bullies you the next time, call me. I'll deal with him. This person is too abominable, he needs to be taught a lesson."

"Forget it," Grace shook her head. "I don't want to have any contact with him anymore."

"Did you really meet Heinz today?" Jensen asked in surprise upon hearing this.

Grace nodded, "Yes, Officer Charm. I have something to verify with you."

"What is it?" Jensen nodded without hesitation. He would cooperate, whatever it was.
