Grace was stunned by his question. Indeed, she had wanted to look for him again due to her pregnancy.
However—
She wasn't in the mood to complain about it now. Perhaps it was time for her to face it.
Grace looked up at Heinz and said, "Because I was pregnant."
Heinz's gaze tightened as an intense emotion flashed across his eyes.
Nonetheless, after that, there was a deep silence in the tent.
When Grace saw him acting so calmly, it was as if she realized something. She widened her eyes and asked, "Did you know about that?"
Heinz didn't want to hide anything from her, so he answered, "I found out this morning."
Although Grace was mentally prepared for this talk, her heart couldn't help but skip a beat, "How did you know?"
Heinz stared at her with a more intense gaze.
Before he could speak, Grace asked again, "Did Jensen tell you?"
Heinz was stunned and asked her back in surprise, "Jensen knew about this too?"
The next moment, something suddenly came to Heinz's mind. No wonder Jensen had asked him to go to Grace's house to visit the child. It turned out that he had known it.
Thinking about it, Heinz felt like he truly was a fool. How could he not go and take a look at the child? At this moment, he wanted to blame himself for being stupid.
If he had met the child a little earlier, maybe they would have been together as a family a long time ago.
Grace looked very surprised and then fell back into her thoughts, wondering, "Looks like it wasn't Jensen who told Heinz."
If that was the case, who did?
"How did you know that?" Grace grabbed his suit and probed.
Heinz suddenly came to his senses and looked at her. When he saw her grabbing his sleeves, his eyes fell on her petite hand.
Grace realized that her action was inappropriate and quickly withdrew her hand.
But Heinz reached out, grabbing her hand and answered, "Grace, someone hacked into the website of our company and posted unpleasant things on it early in the morning today. When the Public Relations Department and Lester went to investigate further about the matter, they found out about Little Gary. Then, my men went to his kindergarten and brought him to the company. When I saw the child who looked just like me, I was sure that he was our child."
Hearing this, Grace's heartbeat rose up madly again. She was so baffled and tongue-tied that she couldn't calm down even after a heavy pause.
Looking at Heinz, she didn't know what to say for a long while.
Heinz saw that she was surprised, so he chuckled and said, "Grace, thank you for giving birth such a good son for me. That little guy scolded me in my company several times this morning, and I couldn't even say a word."
Grace was still speechless.
"This child couldn't bear to see that you were bullied by me, so he went to vent his anger on me in person to defend you. He is a filial child," Heinz continued and laughed with the pride of a father.
Grace took a deep breath and finally spoke, "You said that Little Gary posted something unpleasant on your company's website."
"Yes," Heinz gave a wry smile and said, "He even sent me an email a few days ago and made fun of me."
Grace was surprised yet again.
Heinz then took out his phone, pulled up the email and showed it to her.
Seeing the wordings on it, Grace could no longer remain calm.
She didn't expect that Little Gary had contacted Heinz behind her back.
For a moment, she found it hard to accept.
"Why is he so smart?" Grace asked in disbelief.
Heinz's eyes fell on his phone as he chuckled lowly, "Yes, he is indeed smart. With his ability, it's not surprising that he can learn these skills. Moreover, he also has a wide range of vocabulary and a mouth so unmerciful."
Though Heinz was complaining, he was very happy.
In any case, this was his son, his own flesh and blood.
