Hermione nodded, "I know what you're worried about. Indeed, the child is too young and might suffer a huge blow. The mainstream media doesn't uphold professional ethics and standards."
How could Grace not know that words could kill?
She could pay no attention to them, but what about her son?
She felt sorry for Little Gary, who had endured a lot of hardships with her and never enjoyed a good life for the past few years.
"So, you have made up with Heinz again?" Hermione asked, smiling.
Grace felt embarrassed to be questioned again.
She nodded and replied, "Yes, we have reconciled."
"Glad to hear that," Hermione said. "Now I know why you two keep falling back together no matter what. You already have a child together, how could you be separated?"
Grace responded bashfully, "Please stop laughing at me."
"Alright." Then, Hermione changed the topic and announced, "I've filed a divorce with Lorenzo. Paid him two million dollars in exchange for my freedom."
"Really? Isn't he still detained?" Grace asked in surprise.
"My lawyer spoke to him. He wouldn't make it in prison without money. I promise to send him money every month. In return, he gives my freedom back," Hermione explained calmly. "He should prepare himself to be in prison for many years to come."
Grace was at a loss for words as she stared at Hermione.
After all, Lorenzo was imprisoned because he had provoked her.
However, she was not feeling sorry for Lorenzo, instead, she felt sorry for Hermione.
"Hermione, I'm so sorry."
"Sorry for what? It has nothing to do with you. You, too, are a victim." Hermione smiled and waved her hand, "My children are very understanding too. They know Lorenzo well enough."
Grace nodded with an apologetic look.
Hermione chuckled, "Don't blame yourself anymore. Maybe I'll find myself a boyfriend soon and I'll probably have to thank you for that."
"Hermione? Are you seeing someone?" Grace was a little surprised.
"My childhood sweetheart is back," Hermione blushed as soon as she spoke.
Grace immediately noticed the change in atmosphere in the office.
She looked at Hermione with a hint of joy in her eyes. "Hermione, no matter what, it's better to let go of your past. It's never too late to pursue your happiness."
"I think so too." Hermione lamented, "I won't torment myself anymore. Over the years, I've suffered enough. When my children are all grown up, I will live for myself."
"That's great!" Grace replied.
Hermione added, "I'm not young like you anymore. I won't be asking for too much. I just hope that I won't be lonely when I'm old. I'll cherish the time I have and live a good life."
Grace admired Hermione for her attitude. After exiting the editor's room, she returned to her seat and began her work.
In the hospital.
It was nine in the morning when Heinz arrived.
He was there to visit Nathan and Pearlyn.
The couple was arranged in the same ward and both were on intravenous drips.
Lester had been guarding over them. He immediately stepped forward when he noticed Heinz and reported to him, "President, Mr. Lawson's situation has stabilized." "That's great," Heinz nodded and was about to enter the room.
"President!" Lester stopped him.
