"Chief Stone took Miss Smith to meet Mr. Lawson?" Lester thought that he had misheard. He could not believe it. "What is Chief Stone doing?"
"How would I know?" replied the bodyguard anxiously. "If I knew what is actually going on, I wouldn't be so anxious as well."
"When did this happen?" Lester also became serious.
"Just now, they have already entered the room," The bodyguard said. "I can only stand outside the door."
"Keep an eye on them." Lester quickly hung up the phone and called Heinz. Soon, Heinz picked up the phone.
"President, Chief Stone has made an appointment with Miss Smith. The bodyguards sent a message saying that Miss Smith is now in Mr. Lawson's ward and was brought there by Chief Stone. I don't know what she wants to do. I do not feel good about this, President."
Heinz was shocked and stunned. He held his cell phone tightly and said in a deep voice, "It's impossible. I just sent her to work. How could she be at the ward?"
"She did go to the ward," Lester said. "The bodyguards called me personally. I'll confirm with her newspaper office."
Heinz said, "I'm going to the ward now. Keep me updated."
"Alright!" Lester called the newspaper office and confirmed that Grace was indeed not there. After all, it was still not time for work yet.
After Heinz got the news, he quickly got into the car and rushed to the hospital.
His heart was in a mess when he thought of Grace's reactions lately.
He was not sure whether Grace knew everything, but this time, she would find out.
Heinz was furious that Chief Stone had called Grace without informing him.
He didn't expect that his effort in trying to keep everything under control would end up like that.
Maybe he should not have done so much for Uncle Lawson.
He laughed at himself as he floored the gas pedal.
Meanwhile, Grace was at the hospital.
Chief Stone brought Grace into the room. Upon seeing the two people lying on the hospital bed, Grace's heart was still thumping.
She had seen Pearlyn once and she did not look really well that time. She was lying on the left bed and looked weak; she was clearly a patient too.
On the right bed, there was a man who was wearing a hood, and the white gauze was piercing to the eye.
He was very thin and looked particularly old.
From the photo of Jodie in the cemetery, it could be seen that Jodie's appearance was a combination of her parents' looks.
She looked at them and then at Chief Stone, waiting for her to speak.
Chief Stone looked at them and said, "Hey Nathan and Queenie, I brought Grace here for you."
Nathan had no reaction when he saw Grace, but when he heard what Chief Stone said, he immediately looked up at her. His gaze was like a sharp sword, sweeping directly to Grace.
Grace's heart tightened. When she looked into Nathan's eyes, she nodded slightly and said politely, "Good day, Mr. and Mrs. Lawson."
"Can I be good just by lying here?" Nathan's voice was full of impatience and anger.
Grace knew that he was in a bad mood, so she smiled and said softly, "It doesn't look good. You will get better if you stay calm."
Pearlyn's eyes were also fixed on Grace. When she heard Grace's words and looked at her expression, she did not say anything.
However, Grace knew that she was judging and rating her secretly.
