"What's the matter?" Tyler Henley suddenly returned to his senses, there was concern in his eyes, "Who hurt Grace?"
"The former chief editor." Chuck Dorris just realized what he had said. "Oh, I'm being such a gossip. Anyway, it's dealt with. It's alright. With Mr. Jones's protection, who would dare hurt Mr. Jones' woman?"
Tyler frowned as he ignored Chuck and chased after Grace.
When he got to her side, without saying a word, he grabbed Grace's wrist and pulled her to the back of a pillar.
"What are you doing?" Grace was shocked by the way he held her wrist so tightly.
"You were hurt by the former chief editor?" Tyler asked in a low voice. "How did he hurt you?"
Grace was stunned for a moment and immediately realized that Chuck was the one who said that.
He was such a gossip.
She took a long sigh, "That was long ago, a court session will be held soon. Don't worry, it's all handled."
Tyler looked down at Grace with a serious gaze. "Just because you have Heinz, you're going to ignore the help your friend offered?"
Grace was stunned and was a little surprised by what he said.
She studied Tyler's expression.
He stood there, his eyes and brows looked deep. When she looked at him seriously, a faint smile appeared on his face.
The edges of his face were quite prominent and he looked handsome. She used to think that they were close, but now that she was looking closely at him, that smile of his looked very distant.
There was a smile on his face, but it looked quite sad.
Grace's heart ached. Perhaps he was upset that she did not need him to care about her any longer.
She shook her head immediately. "How can that be? Tyler, we will always be good friends for life. I thought that wouldn't change at all. See, I'm here for the interview that you recommended me for. How can I not need your help?"
To be honest, she didn't need Heinz's help, nor did she want his help.
After all, it was her job anyway.
Tyler smiled and said, "Grace, you're right. We're good friends for life. Remember, for life."
"Of course," said Grace, taken aback. "Seriously, you're like a girl. You even look a little emotional."
Tyler lowered his head to look at her, not saying a word, as if he was tacitly admitting it.
A girl?
Or emotional?
Just as Grace stiffened, he then said, "Let's go, I'll take you there."
"Oh." Grace nodded quickly.
Tyler turned around. He had huge strides, and Grace followed behind closely.
Chuck also quickly followed.
Passing through the crowd, they arrived at a hall. After arriving at the midpoint, they turned and entered the long corridor, where the lounge and reception room were.
Tyler stood at the door of a lounge and knocked on the door.
A woman's voice sounded from inside, saying, "Come in."
"A female professor?" Grace lowered her voice and asked Tyler.
Tyler nodded and glanced at her. His gaze shifted slightly as he nodded, "Yes, a female professor."
"Who is it?" asked Grace.
