True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 453

Heinz wanted to end the topic. That's why he said that.

He didn't expect the old man to be so bored that he would answer back. Usually, he would just hang up the phone.

This time, it was unusual.

"At least it's much better than not being able to use it," Heinz said lightly, "You can't even do it anymore, can you?"

The old man's self-esteem was hurt, and he said harshly, "Even if I could, I wouldn't act recklessly. I am a disciplined person, unlike you."

"Yes. You're a disciplined man who thought about other people's wives and neglected your own wife. My grandmother died of hatred because of you, yet you still have the nerve to tell me that you're a disciplined man," Heinz mocked.

"Hiss—" The old man took a deep breath and said, "Come see me tomorrow. You will regret it if you don't."

Heinz frowned as he was threatened. "What exactly are you trying to do?"

"I miss you." The old man shouted, "I miss you so much that I can't sleep, okay?"

Heinz was stunned to hear him say this. He was a little surprised but said in the end, "I'll see if I have the time tomorrow."

The old man took another breath and snorted. "If you don't come, I'll go to your company."

Heinz thought for a moment and said, "Okay, I'll go tomorrow."

"You better not go back on your word," the old man said and hung up the phone.

Holding his mobile phone, Heinz was speechless.

He was not in a hurry to go upstairs. Instead, he told the butler to heat the medicine up and then called his grandfather's people.

"How has the old man been recently?" Heinz asked.

"Young Master!" The person on the other side immediately said, "He is too lonely. He either talks to birds and flowers every day or looks at your photos. He talks to himself all the time. I think he's really too lonely."

Heinz frowned and said, "Doesn't he go out to play? Didn't he meet with his old comrades?"

"He did, but he lost to them."

"What did he lose?” Heinz asked.

"His comrades have four generations of people in their house. In his house, there is no one there for him. He has nothing to be proud of and he's sad," the butler said.

Heinz was speechless. "If he has nothing to do, take him to the orphanage to volunteer. The nursing home is fine too."

"Young Master, he really has not been well these days," the butler said.

Heinz was silent. After a long time, he said, "I know.

I'll go over tomorrow."

He hung up the phone, sighed, and paused. No one knew what he was thinking.

The butler brought the medicine over. Then, Heinz took the medicine along with some snacks and brought them upstairs.

Grace's hair was already blow dried.

When Heinz came back, she had already climbed into the bed and was leaning against the bed frame. She yawned and asked, "What took you so long?"

"I called my grandfather," Heinz said. "Come, take the medicine first."

She took it and swallowed a mouthful, then yelled out, "It's so bitter!"

This medicine was pitch black in color, and it tasted disgusting.

The more she drank it, the more she didn't want to drink.

Grace's little face wrinkled into a ball and looked very pitiful.

Heinz immediately noticed her frown and asked, "You don't want to drink it?"

"It's disgusting," she said, "I have to drink it, but it's too disgusting to drink. It makes me nauseous."

"It's certainly bad," Heinz sat down at the bedside, looked at her and said, "Would you like me to give you a piece of candy?"

"I'm not a child," Grace said with a smile, "I'll drink it."

Although she didn't want to, she still had to face this matter.

She held her breath and drank half of it.

"Ugh, it's horrible," Grace mumbled.

Heinz immediately uncapped a bottle of water and handed it to her. "Drink some water."

"No," Grace breathed a sigh of relief and said breathlessly, "I'll bear it and drink all of it at once."

Heinz looked at her nervously, with worry in his eyes.

This time, she took a huge gulp and finished it.

"It's so bitter!" She stuck out her tongue and reached out to take the water.

Heinz didn't hand her the water. He immediately cupped her face and kissed her.

All of a sudden, Grace's eyes widened.

He absorbed the bitter taste in her mouth.
