True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 456

Old Master Carter's face looked peaceful and even his eyes were extremely calm.

Claris couldn't tell what Old Master Carter was trying to say.

She couldn't understand what Heinz's grandfather meant.

Claris was perturbed.

Old Master Carter narrowed his eyes and said, "Nothing. I'm just asking. Has Heinz been with her recently?"

"I don't think so," Claris said. She lifted up the corners of her mouth and forced a smile, looking a little guilty. "I don't know."

She could not let Old Master Carter know that Grace had given birth to Heinz's child.

Therefore, Claris stared at Old Master Carter, trying to figure out his real thoughts were from his expression.

Seeing Claris looking at him, Old Master Carter's eagle-like eyes suddenly became sharp.

He stared deeply into Claris's eyes, staring straight into them with a smile.

Claris was shocked. She didn't even dare to look at Old Master Carter now.

She couldn't look at him face to face.

Therefore, she looked away.

The old man's eyes fell on her. After a few seconds, he moved his eyes away and looked at the door with a meaningful smile.

"Claris, do you really want to marry Heinz?" Old Master Carter asked.

"Ah!" Claris raised her head in shock. She looked at the old man in embarrassment.

Old Master Carter turned to look at her. His gaze was so sharp that no one dared to look straight into his eyes.

"Tell me honestly and don't hesitate. The children of the Lu family shouldn't behave like this," Old Master Carter said.

"Yes!" Claris nodded immediately, her hands clasped tightly together. She bit her lip, thought for a moment, and said, "Yes, grandfather, I want to marry Brother Heinz."

"Do you think you can withstand the suffering?" Old Master Carter asked.

"What suffering?" Claris asked.

"For example, you have to be prepared for the fact that he might not love you," Old Master Carter said.

"He won't love me?" Claris's face was a little stiff and images of the past flashed through her mind. Heinz's indifference towards her was definitely more than just a little bit. "Even so, I still want to marry him."

Old Master Carter's eyes jumped as he looked directly at her. "You're really brave."

Claris couldn't tell if Old Master Carter was praising her or if he was thinking about something else.

She pursed her lips and said, "My grandmother said that girls have to be persistent. When they choose someone, they must persist in their choice."

Old Master Carter was stunned for a moment. His gaze was a little distant.

He pondered for a moment and said, "Claris, if your grandmother knew that you wanted to marry Heinz, and me being his grandfather, I can't do anything for you nor can I make him love you, she will definitely scold me. I can't let her precious granddaughter suffer."

"Grandpa, my grandmother can't control my thoughts. Everyone knows that I like Brother Heinz and you also promised to help me. I just want to be Heinz's wife," Claris said.

At the end of her words, her face was a little hot. She felt that her actions were very out of line.

She was afraid that she would leave a bad impression on Old Master Carter, so her face turned red.

"What have you heard recently?" Old Master Carter finally asked, his gaze sharper than ever.

He stared at Claris for a moment, with consideration in his eyes.

"Grandpa?" Claris looked at him in surprise. A bad feeling welled up in her heart.

"I'm asking you, didn't you watch the news?" Old Master Carter asked.
