True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 578

"What?" Donald asked in surprise. "Dad can't forget about that woman?"

"Yes." Charles nodded. "Her ashes are in that urn on the table."

"Is she dead?" Donald heaved a sigh of relief. "It's okay if he can't forget her, considering that she's already gone."

"Zachary wants to bury Aunt Marilyn together with our ancestors," Charles stated.

"No!" Donald immediately refused. "She's been gone for so many years, I don't even remember what she looks like anymore. How could he bury her with our ancestors? What if she picks a fight with our mom in the afterlife?"

"Donald!" Charles immediately frowned and said, "Aren't you aware? Zachary is extremely wealthy now. We need his investment in our company."

Donald narrowed his eyes as he sank into deep thoughts. He then looked at his brother and said, "Charles, are you saying that you want to use these ashes as a means to control Zachary?"

Charles nodded, looking at his brother as if to say that he wasn't as dumb as he had thought.

Donald glanced at the urn on his father's desk, his eyes flashing as he schemed.

Listening to the conversation between her two brothers, Eva frowned. They had never agreed to her

words in the past.

"Dad, why did you even keep this woman's ashes?" Eva questioned, "She's left you for so many years. Why are you still worried about her?"

Master Lowe remained silent. However, he was fuming with anger as he looked at his children.

This was what his children were like.

"What are you holding on to?" Eva couldn't help but complain after receiving no reply from her father. "Who knows, after all these years, she might have found another man, and maybe not just one at that."

"Dad, don't be blinded by her. In my opinion, it's fine to let her be buried with our ancestors, but please stop worrying about her so much. Don't you feel sorry for our mother?"

Maxim looked sharply at her daughter as he sat down.

He was afraid he couldn't hold on for any longer, and might collapse at any moment.

He was filled with frustration and disappointment as he looked at his children. He had a good mind to just pass away right at that moment.

However, he couldn't leave just yet.

He looked at them coldly, regarding their disgusting faces.

"Dad, why don't you say something?" Seeing that Maxim had remained silent, Charles asked, "What on earth are you thinking about?"

"Get the hell out of here." Maxim pointed at the door.

"How shameless." "Dad, how can you say that to Charles?" Eva immediately spoke up for her brother. "He's doing this for our family. He's almost 70, and you're still scolding him."

"You too, get out of here." Maxim looked at Eva coldly as his expression fell. "Get out of my face. It's not your place to tell me what to do."

Eva frowned. She had never been scolded like this before. She immediately glanced at the ashes on the table.

"Dad, you've never scolded us like this before. Why are you scolding us just as her remains are here?"

Upon hearing her words, Maxim was so furious that he grabbed the table lamp and threw it at them. She was even dragging Marilyn along with her words.

"Ah!"

Eva jumped away in fright.

The lamp smashed to the ground.

The atmosphere in the room suddenly tensed up. "Dad, if you continue to treat us like this, I will scatter Marilyn's ashes!"
