When Heinz came out of the ward, he happened to meet Susan, who went to prepare a meal.
She also saw Heinz and immediately stepped forward respectfully and said, "Mr. Jones, you are here again?"
Heinz nodded.
"Mr. Jones, it's better for you not to visit." She added kindly, "You shouldn't get involved in this matter anymore."
She knew that it was Heinz's money that she was taking, so she reminded him.
"I know, I won't come again," Heinz replied. "In the future, everything about the Lawson family has nothing to do with me. I don't want to interfere in the affairs of their family. As for your salary, I want to settle things with you. In the future, it is up to you whether you want to work with them or not, but I will no longer pay for your salary. However, I will give you another month's salary before this happens."
She was startled and immediately shook her head, "If you aren't paying for my salary, then I won't be helping in the Lawson family anymore. I'll go somewhere else."
Heinz was stunned. "Did they cause you trouble?"
"Mr. Jones, I think I'd better go somewhere else. I'm already very grateful that you can pay for the previous salary. It doesn't matter even if you don't pay. You gave me a lot in the past, but if I was to deal with the Lawson family alone, I would rather not be their help anymore," she said.
"Okay! It's up to you." Heinz smiled. "Later, I will ask my assistant to contact you and transfer all the salary to your bank account."
"Thank you, Mr. Jones. It's been nice knowing you," she thanked Heinz.
Heinz nodded and turned to leave.
Susan went into the ward and saw Jodie shouting hysterically. She was also startled.
"What's going on?"
As soon as Nathan and Pearlyn saw her, they immediately felt angry. There was no place for them to vent their anger just now. Hence, they vented on her. "Get out. Can't you see that you can't enter now? What an uncivilized person."
When Susan saw this, she immediately retorted, "Fine. I want to inform both of you that I don't want to work for you anymore."
After that, she put the dinner on the table and walked away.
"Where are you going?" Pearlyn stopped her.
Susan stopped in her tracks and said, "I don't want to work for you anymore. I want to go back to my hometown. You can hire someone else."
To work for someone like this wasn't a good idea. Previously, for the sake of money, she had been enduring it. The moment the Lawson family's daughter returned, the two elders of the Lawson family would always curse at her. Hence, she didn't want to work forthem anymore.
When Pearlyn heard that Susan was about to leave, she immediately frowned. "Do you think this is the right time to leave? Susan, what you are doing is adding fuel to the fire. You've been working at my house for so long. Even if you leave, you should tell us earlier. What should we do now? If you leave now, I won't pay you any salary."
Susan burst into laughter when she heard that. She stared at Pearlyn coldly and rebutted, "Mrs. Lawson, it seems like I've never received a salary from your family. It's always been Mr. Jones who pays me."
Pearlyn's expression changed. "That was also for our sake." "That's right!" She nodded and admitted, "I did do it for your sake before. Mr. Jones has paid my full salary today, and he won't give me any salary in the future, so I have to go now."
"Of course, it was indeed my fault that I suddenly left. According to the agency's requirements, I should inform you earlier, but I really can't work with your family anymore. Now, I’m officially telling you that I’m quitting this job. It would be best if you start looking for someone else," Susan added.
"I'll give you three days. If you still can't find anyone, I'll leave anyway."
Susan turned around and walked out of the room. Mrs. Lawson stood there in a daze, feeling wronged for a long time. In the end, she could only sigh helplessly.
Jodie was still sitting on the ground and crying sadly.
