"I'm very curious about you," Hermione stated. "You've worked too much in the past, which piqued my curiosity."
Grace said frankly, "I don't have high education. I have done countless jobs these years, but they didn't last long. In fact, what I want to do the most is study. Getting my education can also benefit my life and my children."
"Have you decided yet?" Hermione asked, "Are you going to study now?"
"I haven't made a decision yet." Grace shook her head.
"That's not a bad idea. Tell me, do you want to leave here, or are you going to Northern City?" Hermione asked.
"It's just an idea." Grace smiled. "I'm not really sure. I have something important to do at the moment."
"What do you have to do?"
"No one is taking over the Smith family now. Marry Smith is in detention and Simon is in custody. Hence, no one is taking charge of the Sunny Group," Grace replied in a low voice. "In any case, it's our family's property. I don't want to see it destroyed overnight. I've been with Heinz for so long, and I've learned something. There are still many employees there and if we don't do something about it, they will lose their jobs. That's not something that I want to see."
"What about your own matters?" Hermione asked. "We haven't found the person behind it yet."
Grace thought for a while and answered, "Now, I feel that it's not so important anymore. Even if they want to frame me and mess with me, I'm clear about who I am. I don't have to announce what I do to the whole world. I'm not a star, so I don't have to clarify anything. As time goes by, people will naturally forget about me."
"But Grace, you underestimated the impact of the news. If you don't clarify it and let the situation be, it may not only hurt you but also your children. By the time you discover it, the situation may be irreversible," Hermione remarked. She was a little older so she had more experience.
Grace was in a daze and didn't speak for a long time.
"It's the same with my marriage. From the beginning, we discovered that something was wrong. We didn't correct it in time, and we didn't work on it. In the end, it became worse. We could only divorce," Hermione continued. "So, it's only right to face this matter calmly, but you can't just sit by and do nothing about it."
Grace felt Hermione's concern for her. She nodded and said softly, "Hermione, I've been thinking, but I was still wrong about things."
"Wrong?" Hermione raised her eyebrows. "What did you do wrong?"
"After all, when I gave birth to the two children, I didn't know who Heinz was. It was all because of a mistake," she stated.
She continued, "In any case, it's a fact that Heinz didn't get a divorce and had twins with me."
"Although it was a coincidence, I should also pay the price for being reckless and ignorant. Only in this way can I balance the happiness of the two treasures that God gave me and calm everything down," Grace finished.
She seemed to have suddenly realized something and said, "This is the cause and effect theory. It was my fault six years ago and I'm just paying for my actions now."
"Grace, aren't you too kind?" Hermione immediately retorted. "I've heard a little about what happened between you guys. Heinz never publicly announced his marriage in the
Northern City."
"Everyone knows that Heinz is single and you have children together. You only came back when your children were five years old. After you met Heinz, you fell in love with him. I know the story."
"He never admitted that he was married. When you two were getting the marriage certificate, only then was he told that he wasn't allowed to marry."
"Jodie was said to be dead for a long time, so he should be a widower. This was not your fault, but Heinz's and Jodie's family's fault."
"These mistakes interweaved and led the two of you together. Why do you have to pay for their mistakes?" She asked.
Knowing that Hermione was defending her, Grace smiled wryly. "It was my fault as I didn't ask clearly about it."
"It has nothing to do with you," Hermione repeated. "You don't have to shoulder all the responsibility. These days, as long as you have a clear conscience, it should be fine."
Grace also smiled and nodded. "Yes, I know."
"You don't seem to care when you talk about these things with me. Do you still not want to get in touch with Heinz?" Hermione finally came to her senses and asked.
"I broke up with Heinz. We're raising our children together now," Grace replied frankly. "I don't want to have a bad relationship with him."
