Upon hearing this, Heinz couldn't believe his ears.
"Really?" He was stunned. Jensen also stared at Grace. He couldn't believe that she would say this. He knew that she wasn't like any other woman.
She could think things through thoroughly and clearly.
The tiredness in Heinz's eyes instantly turned into joy. He looked at the woman in front of him longingly. He then pulled her into his arms.
The two of them embraced each other.
The children, Alice and the butler all smiled when they saw this scene. This was what everyone had hoped for.
"Sorry for backing away before." Grace really felt like she had been too timid.
However, being timid could not solve anything. After she backed down, the enemy would only step up and become even more cruel than before.
In this case, it was better to stand up tall. Even if she lost, she would lose with dignity.
She didn't want to muddle through the rest of her life.
"It's my fault." Heinz held her frail body. "I didn't manage to do everything I can for you. I failed as a man and I am utterly ashamed. I’ ve let you down. I don't deserve your love."
"No." Grace shook her head. "No one is perfect. We both know each others' intentions. Let's try our best to do what we can."
The two nodded and looked into each other's eyes.
The surrounding people left quietly. Alice was also very gratified. She grabbed the children and led them away quickly to allow Heinz and Grace to have some time alone.
The butler, along with the bodyguards, also quickly disappeared.
The room fell quiet.
Heinz's desolated heart was now injected with warmth, and his voice was trembling. "Grace, you came back just in time. Hermione and I have a plan and you are involved in it too. Let's fight back together."
"Okay." Grace's heart ached when she saw the determination and calmness in Heinz's eyes. She knew that he had made up his mind to fight back. "I'm with you. But Heinz, are you sure that it's Jodie? I'm worried that we're attacking the wrong person."
"It's not Jodie, but it has something to do with her. She is definitely involved." Heinz had already made up his mind ever since he had witnessed Jodie's hidden skills. "After tomorrow's counterattack, we will take further actions. We'll observe how it goes first. Whoever is involved must pay the price. Otherwise, how can I face both you and the children? I must uphold my responsibility as a man."
"Okay." Although she was worried and didn't feel confident, she decided to believe in him.
"You've suffered a lot today." Heinz placed his hand gently on Grace's face and caressed it gently. He looked at her forehead that was still slightly red from being smashed by an egg. Although it had been washed clean, it was still slightly swollen.
"I'm fine." Grace shook her head. "There will always be hardships in life, and I know that. It's just that this is the first time I've experienced something like this, so I'm a little unnerved."
She had been really confused previously, but now, the situation had forced her to face it. She understood now.
Seeing her firm expression, Heinz felt a lump in his throat. He couldn't say a word, and could only lower his head. He gave her a peck on her forehead.
"Grace, how could I ever repay you?" Heinz whispered, "You are the only woman I will ever have for the rest of my life, this I can promise you."
She looked at his handsome face, and nodded solemnly.
He held her in his arms again.
