True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 811

"That's because by then she had realized her mistake. She didn't fulfil her responsibility for both your uncle and me. So, she wanted to make up for those regrets by treating all of you nicely."

Candace spoke forthrightly.

Grace found that she didn't know how to argue with what she just said.

After quietly thinking about Candace's words, they were somewhat reasonable.

Her grandmother had indeed done something wrong, but these were all in the past. Grace really felt that it was unfair for Candace to talk about her past mistakes now.

She looked at Candace and started calmly. "I know that a tragedy has happened to you, but you can't change what had already happened. Instead, you should work hard yourself instead of blaming others for all your misfortunes."

Candace chuckled as she replied, "Humph! Easier said than done. You could understand your grandmother when you put yourself in her shoes. Then, why won't you put yourself in mine?"

"Aren't you guys blaming me now?"

"Why can't you be charitable enough to accept anything without any complaints?"

"How can you ask others to do what you're unable to do? Why should I do that?"

"Enough. Stop spouting nonsense." Grace cut her off. "We don't want to bring up the past. It won't do us any good."

"What?" Candace burst into a rage as soon as she heard Grace's words.

Grace was shocked by her sudden loud voice. She could feel the resentment that Candace held towards both her grandmother and Anderson.

Grace was a little perplexed. She didn't know the reason behind that.

She just felt taken aback by Candace's attitude.

She suddenly remembered what Marry had said, and her face instantly became pale.

She opened her mouth, wanting to ask about her own background and ancestry, but her words were stuck down her throat.

Candace seemed to be ready to risk everything as she shouted at Grace and Alice, "Well, since you guys are trying to avoid it, I won't. I have neither affection nor attachment for Anderson at all. I had no choice but to marry him. It was your grandmother who forced me to marry him."

Alice couldn't help but roar back in response, "Dad has been very kind to you, and he cares about you so much. You had whatever you wanted in the Smith family. Didn't you live a good and easy life in the Smith family?"

"You should ask yourself, how did Dad treat you? Don't go too far."

"Your father was willing to do all of those things for me because he loved me. Since he did, he should put in a lot of effort."

"That's what he should've done. I didn't ask him to love me. I asked him to let me go, but he refused. Do you think I lived a good life in the last years?"

"I had always wanted to divorce him, but he never agreed to it. So, I had no choice but to run away."

"You will never know what happened between him and me. You will also never know how cruel he was."

"After experiencing Marry's wickedness, you should know how evil your father was."

"Not to mention, I've never mistreated him all these years, except for not loving him."

"He knew I didn't love him, but he insisted on marrying me. He didn't ask me to love him, but to stay by his side."

"I helped him raise the daughter that he had with his ex-wife. I even gave birth to another baby for him. Did I not treat him right?"

"I fled because I couldn't stand him anymore. Do you know the reason behind his behavior?"

Grace and Alice were both stunned.
