Nelson asked, surprised, "You moved out? You bought a house?"

Jensen smiled bitterly and said, "No. Dad, as a policeman, I can't afford to buy a house, not even in ten years."

Nelson was stunned for a while and felt a little ashamed. He swallowed hard and said, "Son, it's my fault that I let you become a policeman. If you were doing business with Heinz, you may have gotten a lot of money already."

He suddenly felt that he was a little selfish and shouldn't have forced his son to become a policeman.

Hearing his father's regret and guilt, Jensen smiled and comforted him, "Dad, don't blame yourself like this. Although you forced me to be a policeman at first, I like it very much now. I will enjoy my career for the rest of my life, so you don't have to worry about me."

"As for Mom, I wish she could accept Alice. Actually, she has the right not to accept her, though. I just hope that she will not interfere in our lives."

"You can leave that to me. I will ask her to buy you a house. If she can't, she'd better shut up."

Jensen immediately said, "Dad, forget it. I don't need her to buy me a house. I just hope that she can stay out of our lives."

Nelson smiled and hung up the phone, embarrassed.

Jensen looked back at the father and son in the lobby.

Lawrence still could not let the matter go. He opened his mouth again and said, "Heinz, if you really don't want to raise Lowell, you might as well let me take him away."

It was still the same sentence.

The more Heinz thought about it, the angrier

he became. He said coldly, "Why do you have to take him away?"

"I can't bear it."

Heinz scolded him harshly, "It's too late! I'll get someone to take him away right now. It's really strange for you to come here and protect a child. Is that kid yours? You're so shameless. Remember, that's the son of Grace's mother. You should pay attention to your identity. If someone finds out about you coming here to raise your in-laws, they'll laugh their heads off."

Lawrence was dejected.

Heinz said scornfully, "Don't call me in the future. I have no family bond with you. It's limited to my son and my grandfather. There is nobody else except Alice and Jensen. They are just like my siblings."

After saying that, Heinz turned around and walked out. He was really very sorrowful.
