True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 861

"Hello, Mr. Yarbrough."

Grace greeted politely with a slight nod.

Timothy stood where he was with a confused gaze, but he soon came to his senses and nodded. "Hello, Mrs. Jones, pleasure to make your acquaintance."

Grace could see that Timothy's expression carried some wariness, but he briskly pushed it away. Grace felt strange as well, because Timothy felt familiar, though she couldn't put it into words.

"Likewise, Mr. Yarbrough. It's a delight meeting you," she replied politely.

With a mild smile, Timothy replied, "Well, I will go upstairs to meet my friend. If you'll excuse me."

"Take care, Mr. Yarbrough." Heinz and Grace looked on as Timothy headed off to the hospital building.

The two of them didn't rush to leave first.

Grace was looking at Timothy's back as he left. Unmoved, she stared at it for a long while, until his tall and handsome silhouette faded from her sight.

She turned her head and looked up at Heinz who was standing beside her.

Heinz was staring at Timothy, a glimmer of light in his eyes.

Grace understood in her heart that Heinz had probably figured something out.

He smiled gently and said, "Grace, have you noticed that Mr. Yarbrough was slightly startled when he saw you?"

"I have." Grace nodded and said, "He looked troubled somehow, as if he saw another person through me. Perhaps I bear some resemblance to my mother."

Grace and Heinz connected their gaze. From the serious look in each other's eyes, Grace could surmise what Heinz was going to say.

Looking at her, Heinz said, "By any chance, could he be your biological father?"

Grace didn't say anything, but there was an obvious shift in her gaze. She was equally skeptical, but then what was the use of doubting.

"I don't know. I don't have any clues, even till now. I just feel unusually close to Mr. Yarbrough when I see him. As for whether he is my father or not, I don't know at all, but I do think it is possible. Otherwise, my mother wouldn't ask to see Timothy. There must be some sort of relationship between them. If not, he wouldn't waste his time."

Heinz nodded and said, "Come on, let's go upstairs and have a look. Maybe we will find out some secrets."

"Why not?"

The two of them went upstairs quickly. When they reached the door, they didn't see Timothy. It seemed that he had entered the ward.

Heinz walked over quickly and whispered to them, "Mr. Yarbrough has just gone in, but nothing can be heard yet."

Alex gave the listening device to Heinz.

Not taking it, Heinz instead gave it to Grace.

She didn't refuse it. She reached out to take it and stuffed it in her ear.

At this moment, Candace was lying on the bed in the ward. Her eyes tightly shut, she did not realize that someone had entered the ward.

When Timothy came in, he frowned slightly. The moment he saw a frail and old person lying on the hospital bed, he knitted his brows even tightly.

His frown intact, he gazed at the person who was lying on the bed. It was a long time before he realized that woman was Candace herself. Then he was stunned and couldn't believe that Candace had grown so crumpled and old.
