True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 983

"I think she wanted to be with my father." Heinz said, "That's why she did it."

"Where is the body?" Zachary asked.

"It's still with the police."

"Have you closed the case?"

"We're reaching a conclusion."

"Are Grace and Alice okay?" asked Zachary again.

"Yes, how are Grace and Alice doing? They must be frightened by the news of their mother's death, aren't they?" Nerissa also came to her senses and thought of Grace and Alice.

Heinz nodded. "At first, Grace was frightened and very sad. But she has gone through many hardships before, so her ability to heal from it is a little stronger. As to Alice, she had a hard time accepting it. However, she has also healed and is much calmer now."

"Yes, Candace was their mother after all!" Nerissa sighed and said, "It's too tragic. How could Candace choose to walk down that path? I know she was a tough woman, but I really did not expect her to do this. This is too shocking."

"Mom, if Aunt Candace could be so cruel toward her own daughters, she would only be even crueler to herself." While speaking, Zachary quickly recovered from his mixed emotions. Although there was regret and distress across his face, he had obviously calmed down a lot.

Nerissa's face was still full of sadness and regret, probably because she had experienced too many deaths of her relatives.

"Your aunt has been doing things out of desperation all the time, so she was also very vigorous in her life. Not everyone can leave as he or she pleases, nor are they able to give up on their family."

Perhaps due to her old age, Nerissa kept heaving long sighs.

"Heinz, when can the funeral be held?" Zachary questioned.

"We should wait until the police hand over the body to us," Heinz replied. "I think Jensen will be able to handle it in no time, thus we may get it on the next day or so."

"Once you get the body, you can organize the funeral," Zachary said.

"Yes." Heinz nodded. "That's why I came here to talk to you about this matter, and then I planned to pick a burial site. I was just thinking about where to bury her, but after some hesitation, I still feel something's wrong."

Zachary raised his eyebrows and asked, "Is there a problem with the burial place?"

"Yes." Heinz sighed and continued. "Candace had been with three men in her life. I think it is not appropriate for her to be buried in the Smith family now, and that same goes for my family, as she did not marry my father. Although they have a son together, their relationship was stale. I think it is really difficult to find a place to bury her. I thought that maybe I could consider the ancestral grave of the Lowe family in Southland City. What do you say?"

Zachary shook his head and answered, "The ancestral grave can't be used because the family motto forbids married daughters to return to their ancestral graves. So for Aunt Candace, you can only choose another place."

"Since the Smith family won't do either, let's pick a new burial site for her," Heinz suggested.

"I'll go with you," Zachary said.

"Alright."

"Let's go then." Heinz stood up and was ready to leave.

The two of them went out together after that and Nerissa saw them off. "I will also pack up and go visit Alice and Grace. I can't sit still at home."

"Mom, I'll arrange a driver to send you there," Zachary said.

"There's no need to. I'll have someone take me there. Don't worry about it. Someone at home would be available."

"Okay, then we'll be off."

Then, Heinz and Zachary got into the car and drove to the cemetery administrative office.

The two chose a burial site surrounded by mountains and rivers. After paying the deposit, Heinz's phone rang.

He glanced at the screen and saw that it was Lawrence's number.

Heinz frowned at this. He went back to the car with Zachary before picking up the phone call.
