True Fated Marriage novel Chapter 985

Heinz looked up at Zachary with a bitter smile and said, "Thank you for understanding."

Zachary stretched out his hand and patted him on the shoulder, but he did not say anything.

Perhaps at this time, what Heinz needed most was silent companionship and support.

Just then, the phone rang again.

When Heinz looked at it, he found that Lawrence was calling again.

He chuckled under his breath and said to Zachary, "Look, he is a madman. If I don't answer his call, he would keep calling until I do."

Zachary frowned and said, "You don't have to answer it."

In such a situation, it was useless to say anything.

Lawrence proposed his request without taking into account Heinz's feelings or anyone else's. He was only focused on achieving his own goals and completely ignored everyone's pain.

His love was supreme, and no one was comparable.

Therefore, Zachary thought that Heinz should not pick up the phone. Heinz hung up the phone again.

But the phone rang once more. Heinz glanced at it, and as expected, it was still Lawrence. This time, Heinz hung up the phone silently.

"Alex, let's go," Heinz instructed.

"Yes, sir." Alex immediately started the car.

"Let's go and find Jensen," Heinz said.

Alex started the engine and drove straight to the police station.

They did not say anything along the way.

In the interim, Nerissa had arrived at the Smith family's home.

She came to see Grace and Alice. The three people were sitting in the living room and chatting. In the middle of their conversation, the butler came in and reported, "Mr. Jones is here and he said that he wants to see you."

Grace paused for a moment and asked, "Mr. Jones? Are you talking about Heinz's father?"

The butler nodded and replied, "Yes."

Grace was very surprised. Why had he come at this hour?

The butler saw Grace's hesitation and he cleverly asked, "Why don't you give Mr. Jones a call and

ask him how to deal with his father?"

Grace shook her head and said, "No, Heinz is very busy. Let him come in."

Grace thought that it had been two days since Candace's death, thus the meeting was necessary. She had to meet Lawrence sooner or later, so she felt that there must be a reason why he took the initiative to show up.

After giving it a thought, she nodded and told the butler to bring him in.

Before long, Lawrence was brought in by the butler. When he saw Grace, Alice, and Nerissa, he did not hesitate to ask, "Grace, do you have time for a talk?"

Grace stood up and said to him, "Sit down, please. Butler, please serve Master Jones a cup of tea."

Lawrence stood still. She did not call him father but Master Jones instead. It seemed that she hadn't accepted him.

Having Grace kept addressing him as Master Jones, there was a touch of gloom in his eyes. He lowered his head and sighed without saying anything. Then, he sat down on the sofa next to her.
