The back of the car waiting to leave could not be seen.
Jasper walked towards the front passenger seat and opened the door. With one hand in his pocket and the other on the door, he said to Ruby, who was still standing there, "Get in."
Hearing this, Ruby moved her feet and replied, "Okay."
Ruby's dress had no pockets, so she was carrying her phone with a purple phone case. The size of the phone was a little big because she had to look at the photo album sometimes. It was not convenient for her to wear the computer, so she bought this size of the phone.
Her hands were small and her fingers were long. She held her phone in one hand and her long dress in the other. She lifted her feet and got into the front passenger seat. After sitting down, she placed her phone on her lap and reached out to fasten her seatbelt.
Just as she fastened the buckle of her seatbelt, she turned around and saw Jasper bending down to adjust her dress.
She did not stop him from helping. She watched quietly as a warm feeling flowed through her heart.
When she first got into the car, she was so focused on her seatbelt that she forgot that she was wearing a long dress. The hem of the dress was still outside the car door. At this moment, Jasper slowly lifted the hem of her dress and entered the car.
A few seconds later, he stood up, put his hands in his pockets, and said calmly, "It's done."
Jasper looked like he was helping out, but Ruby's cheeks were slightly flushed. "Thank you."
"Okay." As soon as he finished speaking, Jasper gently closed the door and rubbed his fingers in his pocket.
He walked around the back of the car, opened the door, and sat in the driver's seat. He put on his seatbelt and started the car. The car drove slowly to the intersection in the city. Just as Ruby had said, it was very congested at this point.
Seeing that the traffic wouldn't be smooth for a while, the car stopped. Jasper handed the black cardigan hanging on the back of the car seat to Ruby, who was beside him, and said calmly, "It's a little congested. If you're tired, sleep for a while. Cover yourself with these clothes that have not been worn after washing. They're clean."
Ruby took the clothes and glanced at Jasper. She lowered her head and looked at the clothes in her hands. Her heart was pounding. "It's fine. I don't mind. Thank you."
She carefully held the clothes in her hands and did not cover herself. Instead, she placed them on her lap and held the collar tightly with both hands. It was a little unnatural.
The car started moving again and drove forward slowly. Jasper's gaze was fixed on the front. He opened his beautiful lips and said naturally, "I'm the only one driving this car. There's nothing girly in the car. Olivia has her own car, so there's no blanket, only my clothes."
Ruby's heart fluttered as she turned to look at the scenery outside the window. Her red lips moved. "Oh."
She turned her head slightly to look at the back and smiled.
After that, the two of them did not speak. It was so quiet in the car that they could hear each other's breathing. Ruby's phone vibrated. Her phone was under Jasper's clothes. She took it out from under the clothes and adjusted the clothes on her legs. She leaned back in her chair and looked at her phone.
"It's a message from Dad," Ruby said to the driver.
Jasper was not surprised at all. It was as if he had expected it. He only said one word, "Well."
Hackett's message was nothing more than asking if her daughter had come to the studio. Ruby replied, "Traffic jam."
She also took a photo of the traffic in front of her and sent it to Hackett.
Hackett replied, asking her daughter to send him a message when she was at the studio. Ruby replied, "Okay."
After exiting the chat with her father, she realized that her friends in the studio had sent a message. "Ruby, a few men had just come to order suits. I told them to take their measurements, but they were unwilling and insisted on waiting for you."
Ruby didn't show any emotions after reading the message. She simply replied, "Tell them that the orders are full and I don't plan to accept new orders. Send them away. These people don't really want to make suits."
How could someone who really wanted to make clothes not be willing to be measured? They had to choose someone. After the clothes were done, they had to be tried on at an agreed time. If they were not satisfied, they could change them again. Besides, her father had personally found her assistant. How could she be so stupid that she did not know how to measure them?
They were most likely looking for trouble.
Besides, her studio had yet to open for business, so she was only making online orders. She had her own shop online.
Out of the corner of his eye, Jasper saw Ruby's brows furrow subconsciously. However, it only lasted for a moment before she quickly let go. "What's the matter?"
She put away her phone and helped Jasper fold her clothes like a virtuous wife. She folded them very carefully. "It's fine. Someone in the studio asked me to customize a suit."
"Male." It was a statement, not a question.
"Yes, a man." Ruby raised her head and looked at Jasper's side profile. After a while, Jasper said, "It's normal. Your studio is custom-made for men."
Although he was telling the truth, Ruby suddenly did not want to say anything. She simply hummed in agreement.
