Before Sophia was able to have fun fighting with the mercenaries, a wave of loud noise came from afar. It started getting closer and closer. Frank Roberts and Trevon first appeared in sight. Both of them were riding motorcycles, followed by a group of bodyguards driving motorcycles as well.
There were over 50 motorcycles. In an instant, they filled the entire parking lot beside the studio.
As soon as the bodyguards got off motorcycles, they were immediately divided into three groups. One group guarded the entrances of the various shops to prevent the mercenaries from taking hostages. One group rushed up to fight the mercenaries while the other escorted the three siblings safely to a space on the side.
It was not until she took off her helmet that Jasper realized that his mother had come as well. She was riding the motorcycle behind his dad.
When Natalie Foster saw the three children being protected by the bodyguards, her eyes instantly turned red. Her vision was blurred by tears as she checked every child's body. "Are you injured? Why are you here?"
The last sentence was directed at Sophia. When she saw her daughter who was gone for a long time, Natalie felt surprised and worried.
Sophia replied, "Fortunately, I was passing this area today and ran into them. Perhaps I was sent by Grandpa."
She had not fought enough and still wanted to avenge her brother and sister. She spoke with her mother briefly and planned to turn around to join the fight again. She wanted to kill them. However, just as she raised her foot, her wrist was grabbed by Trevon. He said coldly, "Stop. Stay here. Don't make your mother worry."
At this moment, Trevon was filled with hostility. His gaze was like a sharp knife that could scare people to death. Sophia did not dare to move. She knew that her father was very angry and irritable at the moment.
Jasper hid his hand behind her back and expressed his dissatisfaction. "Why did it take you so long?"
Trevon had actually called Frank Roberts and gathered their people as soon as he received his son's message. They tried their best to come as fast as possible. However, the traffic was horrible at this time of the day. They had no way to avoid the traffic unless everyone could fly.
However, Trevon never explained for himself in front of his kids. He only instructed Frank, "Frank, go to the studio and hack the surveillance camera. Natalie, take them to the hospital. I'll be here."
Natalie checked on the children and found that her son and daughter were both injured, only Sophia was alright. She clenched her fists tightly for a while and eventually let go. She replied, "Okay."
When Jasper passed by Trevon, he said in a low voice, "Don't kill anyone. Leave it to the police."
Trevon said, "I know what I'm doing. Don't worry. Go to the hospital with your mother."
Jasper told Sophia to go inside the studio and bring out Ruby and Liam.
He did not go in right away. Instead, he turned to Trevon and said, "Dad, give me your coat."
Upon hearing this, Trevon glanced at his son's injuries and took off his coat without a word. He helped his son put it on and said in an irrefutable tone, "From tomorrow onwards, I will continue to set up bodyguards for you guys. This time, I don't take objections from any of you. Also, remember to keep your watches on you."
Jasper did not reply. He pursed his lips and did not object.
Olivia nodded and did not object either. This night was too dangerous. It was the first time she had experienced a situation that she only saw in television dramas before.
The car was overloaded with people.
Natalie drove while Jasper sat in the front passenger seat. Liam, Ruby, Olivia, and Sophia all sat in the back. It was a bit crowded. Since Liam was injured, Olivia sat on Sophia's lap to make more room for him.
Sophia complained since she did not know what happened. "Liam, why are you so lousy?"
Ruby's eyes were red. It was obvious that she had been crying. She looked at Jasper and then at her brother's arm, which was still bleeding. She covered it and explained in a nasal voice, "Those people came to kidnap me. Liam was injured because he was protecting me."
As soon as she finished speaking, Olivia nodded. Sophia realized she made a mistake and cursed in a foreign language. Then, she apologized, "I'm sorry for what I said. I did not know what was going on. Liam, you are brave."
Liam's lips turned pale from the pain. He glanced at Sophia and said, "It's like you are giving me the carrot-and-stick approach."
"Wait, my luggage is still in the taxi." Sophia suddenly remembered that her things were all in the taxi. She was in a hurry to get into the car and completely forgot that she originally came in a taxi.
Olivia's phone was broken. Jasper took out his phone and sent a message. Then he said, "Someone will help you bring it home."
Ruby subconsciously wanted to check on Jasper's injuries, but she realized that he acted like he was alright.
Natalie made a call to Sherri Landor. She had to inform Sherri and Hackett Blackwell about such a big matter. She did not inform them just now because he was afraid that Hackett might do something stupid. Trevon did not want Hackett to end up hurting anyone.
The call was quickly picked up. She drove with one hand and said, "Sherri, to the base. Now."
On the other end of the call, Sherri could hear the urgency in her best friend's voice. "What's wrong? Are you injured?"
Natalie replied, "Liam is injured. Get to the base immediately." Then she hung up.
Natalie drove very fast, but it felt very steady in the car. This was the first time Sophia had seen her mother speeding. She asked, "Mom, do you know how to race?"
Natalie answered, "No, but I can make us get there faster if you shut your mouth."
Sophia shrugged her shoulders and went to check on her sister's injuries. When she found that they were all minor wounds, she heaved a sigh of relief. "It's alright. Jasper, are your injuries serious?"
Jasper said calmly, "It's not bad. I just had a little scratch."
Olivia did not expose him. Her brother's injuries were definitely more serious than hers. There were several times when her brother used his arm and back to block the attack in order to protect her.
Base.
The nurses on duty all came to Natalie's room. Olivia was assigned to a lounge by Natalie. Sophia was helping the nurses clean wounds. Olivia had a cut on her shoulder. The wound was shallow. The injury on her leg was fine. The cut was not deep. There were varying degrees of bruises and swelling on her body. Only her face remained uninjured.
Liam's injuries were more serious. Every wound was deeper than Olivia's injury. However, he did not take off his clothes and let the nurses and Natalie tend to him. Jasper acted like nothing happened to him and had his hands in his pockets. He leaned casually against his mother's desk and had no intention of taking off his clothes.
Liam said, "Ruby, you should leave this room. I'm shy." Actually, Liam was afraid that his sister would feel guilty after seeing his wounds.
It didn't take long to finish treating Olivia's wounds. Sophia took a coat that Natalia had from the closet in the lounge and asked Olivia to put it on.
As soon as Olivia came back, she heard what Liam said.
Olivia leaned against her brother and asked softly, "Jasper, why aren't you taking off your clothes? Let Mom take a look at your injuries. Your injuries must be worse than mine."
Jasper replied indifferently, "I'm fine. Go to Mom's closet and get a jacket for Ruby."
"Okay." With that, Olivia returned to the lounge and took a jacket for Ruby. Ruby did not take it. She looked at the jacket she was wearing. It belonged to Jasper. After a moment of silence, she took off her jacket and handed it to Olivia. Then, she put on Natalie's jacket.
Olivia took her brother's coat and placed it in the lounge.
