After leaving the theater, Ruby's mind was filled with that kiss. The sound lingered in her ears, and whenever she thought of it, her face would turn red.
Jasper saw that the woman had her head lowered and was thinking about something. As she did not even see the pillar in front of her and almost bumped into it, he reached out and pulled her back into his arms. "What are you thinking about?"
When Ruby came back to her senses, she realized that they were already outside and there was a pillar in front of them. "No, I'm just thinking about the plots of that movie. I think it's quite touching."
"So touching that you want to bump a pillar?"
"I'm deep in thoughts." Then, she hugged him coquettishly. "But I'm not afraid. Don't I still have you?"
He tapped her forehead lovingly and led her out. "Are you going back to the hotel or going somewhere for fun?"
Ruby raised her hand to look at her watch and realized that it was already 10 at night. It would be too late to go somewhere else to play. "Let's go back to the hotel. We have a trip to Haililand tomorrow."
"Yeah, sure."
The next day, Jasper and Ruby rushed to Haililand to participate in the women's clothing design competition.
After the competition ended, Ruby did not win an award. It was within her expectations. After all, it was not her area of expertise. She mainly wanted to gain a clear picture of this field.
Jasper did not want to push her. He told her that he had already hired many famous designers and that there was no need for her to work so hard. He did not want to see her exhaust her energy.
He wanted to give her a finished product, and she wanted to experience the process of completing a half-finished product into a finished product together with him.
When they were in Haililand, Jasper brought Ruby to many places, mountains, theme parks, etc. The last stop was a church at the boundary of Athana.
They went back to Athana after visiting all the fun places in Haililand.
The two of them were holding hands on the steps. Jasper held her waist with his other hand. "Are you tired? You can take a break."
Ruby panted and shook her head. There was a tenacity hidden under her gentleness. "Let's go."
The assistant Winnie had already returned. But the four bodyguards were still there behind them.
Twenty minutes later, the couple climbed to the top of the mountain. The air was fresh and the birds chirped in lush woods. The church was surrounded by nature and away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Jasper, who had never believed in religion and only believed in himself, was now asking for something with his hands clasped together. Ruby also put her hands together and closed her eyes, muttering her request softly.
A few seconds later, Jasper stood up and quietly walked to her. He saw that she was still whispering something as if she had endless things to ask for. Her expression was extremely serious, but she frowned.
An hour later, the two of them walked out of the church. Jasper asked, "What did you pray for?"
A complicated emotion flashed across Ruby's eyes. She begged a lot. "A lot."
Jasper was very observant. He happened to catch the emotion in her eyes. Although it was very fast, he still saw it.
Going down the mountain was much easier than going up. He could already feel the change in her emotions as she went up and down the mountain, even though she was always smiling.
After leaving the mountain, he sent Ruby to the studio. On this business trip, Ruby bought gifts for all the elders in the family. The most gifts she bought were for Hackett.
Because of the guilt in her heart, every time she cared about her father, she wanted to tell him about her relationship with Jasper. However, she was afraid that her father would not agree. Her father had said more than once that he would not accept a rich boy. He repeatedly said that he wanted a self-made successful man whose wealth all came from his efforts, not his family.
She stood at the door and watched as Jasper drove away. Her thoughts gradually drifted away. As she thought about it, she was stunned. Winnie was a little suspicious as to why she did not enter. She held her suitcase and stood at the door.
"Ruby, why didn't you come in?"
Ruby did not move. Her eyes were a little dull. She did not know what she was looking at. She did not seem to be able to stay together with Mr. Right and satisfy her father at the same time. "Winnie, if you do something wrong, how will you make up for it and make things perfect?"
Winnie did not understand what she meant. "Huh? Ruby, did you do something wrong?"
"Yeah."
Winnie thought for a moment. "Then admit your mistake. If it's not against the law, you can be forgiven. You didn't break the law, right?"
Ruby turned around and laughed. "No, I'm going home first. Remember to lock the door later."
