Izabella didn't say anything, she didn't even want to look in Brett's direction.
"Izabella, didn't you beg me to accompany you to all kinds of places in the past?"
"You said, that was in the past."
In the past, Izabella was head over heels for Brett. She thought marrying him was like hitting the jackpot and wanted to show him off at every opportunity.
When Izabella said that, she thought Brett would get angry. To her surprise, he stared at her with an indescribable look and suddenly smiled gently, "There's a bidding event next week, go with me."
He firmly ordered, directly suppressing her resistance through his actions.
Izabella glanced sideways at Brett, seeing a hint of ruthlessness in his eyes.
After getting out of the car, Brett tightly held Izabella's hand, smiled appropriately, and he seemed much more gentle and approachable in the sunshine.
Izabella struggled a couple of times but couldn't get away, what she didn't know was that from an outsider's perspective, the two seemed like a loving couple having a small fight.
Although Izabella tried concealing her true purpose to come here, Brett was sure she had something she was hiding from him.
Upon hearing the car park, the head of the orphanage rushed out to see who it was. Seeing it was Izabella, she quickly called over the children from the orphanage.
A bunch of children quickly surrounded them, politely calling "Izabella."
"I brought some cake for you guys. You can take it and share it." She had bought plenty so everyone could have enough to eat.
The children were too shy to take it, so the head of the orphanage took it and divided it among them.
The head of the orphanage looked at the man next to Izabella, realizing that the two of them must have a significant relationship since they were carrying such large bags and holding hands.
"Ms. Salotti, this gentleman...?" the head asked tentatively.
With a gentle smile on his face, Brett stood next to Izabella like a loving husband. "I'm her husband."
"Hello, and welcome."
Brett looked at the woman in her forties in front of him, satisfied. At first, he thought the head would be a young man.
Now there was nothing for him to worry about, after all, what harm could a woman and a group of children cause him?
Izabella squatted down to distribute the cake from the bag while sneaking glances at her surroundings, but she didn't see Ryker.
Although Brett had put on his nice face, his natural deterrent made it difficult for people to approach him, he seemed out of place in front of the children.
The head of the orphanage glanced at Brett several times, seeing that his eyes were closely following Izabella.
