Twisted Ties of Love novel Chapter 136

With a hint of smile in Brett's eyes, they were deep and bright in their subtlety.

Izabella turned her head to continue looking out of the window, feeling Brett's gaze on her from the corner of her eyes. Even though his gaze was light, it was filled with a dominant pressure, like an arrow piercing her heart.

Izabella said, "I wonder if it will snow this year."

"It's still summer, too early for that."

R City rarely had snow; it wasn't too hot in summer and not too cold in winter. The last time it snowed was three years ago; it even made the news.

Izabella was sensitive to the cold. In winter, her hands and feet were cold, but she liked watching the snow.

"Do you like snow?"

After pondering for a while, Izabella replied, "I wouldn't say I really like it, but it's rare here, and people tend to be drawn to rare things."

"This winter, we can go to the north; there's a lot of snow there. We can see the snowy landscapes."

The music in the car was filled with a woman's sentimental voice, whispering words of love: I'm a swallow from the south, why am I in love with the coldness from the north?

Izabella followed the lyrics and said, "I like snow, but I can't stand the cold, so you should take Kaley instead."

She brought up Kaley, knowing full well it would throw a wrench into the pleasant atmosphere.

Now, even the driver could feel the tension in the air.

The car drove into a gentle mountain road, accompanied only by a row of lonely streetlights. The lights were left on in the villa.

Jennifer hadn't gone to bed yet. As soon as she heard the car engine outside, she opened the door and saw Izabella getting out of the car.

"Miss, you and President Windham are back," she said.

"Yeah."

"Are you hungry? Do you need to eat something?" Jennifer had made something simple after receiving a text message in the afternoon, knowing they would be dining out.

Izabella shook her head, "No need."
